FTHS – Mouse-y Orange

Hi all!  I’m here with midweek inspiration for From the Heart Stamps.  I used the current sketch and am very happy that its a CAS sketch!  {I’m in the process of rearranging my craft room and getting ready to paint it, which equals absolute chaos!}

FTHS148 Mousey Orange

I colored up the sweet Love You Mouse last week, opting to give the mouse an orange flower.  For this super simple sketch & layout, I cut my white panel with Blueprints 13 and cut out the mouse with a Zig Zag Stitched Square STAX die.  I chose three orange patterned washi tapes and added them to my white panel.  I then popped up the mouse on a piece of fun foam for some dimension.  Finally, I added in some sequins and voila!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

The Cutie Pie Challenge — Cute & Woodland Friends

Congratulations Washi

Happy Thursday!  How many of you watch Scandal?  I was NOT going to watch this show.  In fact, when it came out, I didn’t.  Then I was looking for something to watch on Netflix after their first (short) season.  I think there were 7 episodes or something like that.  I remember reaching the last episode and frantically searching for an answer to when Netflix would get the remaining shows.  LOL!  I was completely hooked.  Then, my husband saw part of it and he was hooked.  We actually watch it live and DVR it so that I can watch it a second time.  I also follow along with the stars on Twitter, which is a riot.  So I definitely look forward to Thursday TV, but I think it is almost done for the season.  BOOOO!

Today I have the last of the cards I made for consignment.  I needed one last card that was quick and easy to put together.  I had almost maxed out my MOJO!  Washi tape to the rescue!

Just like Scandal, washi tape was something I wasn’t going to do.  I wasn’t going to start a collection of these cute (and sometimes expensive) rolls of tape.  I wasn’t going to do it….. Then I bought some for my daughter’s birthday party and the collection began.  And it sat on my desk, oft neglected.  After an IKEA trip the other week to get a few things for my space and some reorganization, they found a home in a bucket next to my desk.  I can say they came in handy, big time!  This was a less than 10 minute card.  I alternated my black & green patterned washi, stamped a nice big greeting from MFT, added a few rhinestones and voila!  LOVE it — love the pop of the green and black together.

HYCCT1313 Washi Rainbow

Hi all!  Happy Sunday!  I had a great stamping day yesterday with friends, which I’ll tell you about on another day.  We had great weather to take family photos, which I can’t wait to see and then had dinner out — with a Groupon deal, so all in all, I think it was a pretty great day!

Today I have a fun HYCCT card for you — the challenge was to use washi tape.  Now, I must say, I planned to stay far away from washi.  I didn’t think I needed it or would like it.  Well, when I was planning my daughter’s birthday party, I found these super fun & bright rainbow tapes from Queen & Company.  I can now say that I’m hooked and washi tape is on my Christmas list!

I used three of the fun rainbow patterns to create a background, topped it off with a strip of glittery ribbon and a very simple sentiment from MFT The Rainbow Will Come.
