Welcome Back From the Heart!

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. We have a Love and Friendship Theme this month. Our designers are each showing a project created with this theme.

If you have arrived from Calypso, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

Here is my project, using In My Heart Birdbrainfeb-blog-hop-birdbrain

I kept this very simple in the design.  My creative mojo likes to play hide & seek and has been hidden for quite some time.  I colored up my Birdbrains with Copics and cut them out with Stitched Circle Frames.  For my background, I picked a pair of black & white patterned papers and cut them out with Vertical Stitched Strips.  When I put it all together, I added Wink of Stella to the heart and used a fine multi-liner to outline the eyelids.  Finally, to add just a bit of embellishment, I added a trio of tiny red heart rhinestones above their heads.

Now head over to Doni and see what she has created. As you hop along, leave a comment on each blog. We will select a random winner from the comments on each blog and on the FTHS blog to win one image of your choice.

Our hop will end on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 6 am, and the winners will be posted on Wednesday, February 8th.

Thanks for hopping with us today.

FTHS 138 – Snowman Snail Mail

Hi all!  Happy Monday!  I’m back with another From the Heart Stamps snowman for the newest I {heart} sketches sketch.

I used one of the newer Project 100 Snowmen sets — Snowman Valentine.  This is so sweet and I think works perfectly for any type of happy snail mail!

FTHS138 Snowmail Love

I went classic Valentine and classic clean and simple.  I colored up my image with Copics and cut it out with a Zig Zag Square STAX die.  I pulled out some papers, again from Doodlebug {adore their papers!}, and cut them to fit the angles.  After putting it all together, I added some Stickles for snow and on her hat.  I added in a heart rhinestone, which fit so nicely.  Finally, a little trio of red rhinestones up top finished it off.

Hope you’ll find the time to play along with us this week!  Remember, just for participating, you will receive a $1.00 credit to the FTHS store.

FTHS Blog Hop – A Friendly Little Hello

Happy Friday all!  Welcome to the February Blog Hop for From the Heart Stamps!  This month we are featuring the über-adorable snowmen/women/girls/boys/teens that Faith has been drawing.  You’ll see lots of gorgeous snowy projects along the way!

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog.  One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store.

If you have arrived from Brenda, you are in the right place.  If not, why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog so you don’t miss anything.

For my card today, I used the sweet Hello Snowman.

Isn’t she cute?  I merged this with some fun Doodlebug Valentine paper, which I thought complimented her hat well.  I kept it all in the pink family!  That sweet sentiment is included in the set, along with some great knitted hearts.  To finish it off, I added in some sequins and some Stickles on her hat.  My Stickles came out a bit more than I liked, but it worked out because those little pom-poms are almost 3D!

Now you should head over to Doni and see what she’s created.

Thanks for hopping along with us today.  The hop will end on Monday, February 8th at 6 AM.  Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday, February 10.

FTHS137 Hearts & Kisses

Hi all!  As you can see, I’ve made the jump from Blogger to WordPress.  I’m still trying to get everything sorted, but so far, so good.  {It also helps to have an IT person in the house!}  You can still use http://www.pinkroomtherapy.com to find me!

I’m here today with another From the Heart Stamps / I {heart} Sketches sketch.

FTHS 137 Hearts & Kisses

It’s safe to say Blowing Kisses is one of my favorite FTHS images!  I just love this sweet little snowgirl!  Our tWist this week is Hearts, Hearts and More Hearts.  I used the Fluttering Hearts Cover-Up plate from MFT to create the background in pale pink.  Then I added in a splash of red and the image, simply colored and a pair of pierced hearts, also popped up for a bit of dimension.  So very sweet!

Hope you get the time to play along with us this week!  Don’t forget, every participant receives a $1.00 credit to the FTHS store!

Flurry of Love

Hi all!  Some crafty friends and I participate in a very small card swap.  Our theme for December was a shaker card.  I’m finally getting mine in the mail tomorrow — It didn’t take a long time to complete them, but finding the time was another story!

I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool to create the shaker pocket and a relatively flat shaker card.  I filled it with snowflake sequins, star sequins of various sizes and colors and some micro beads.  The pocket fits perfectly behind the large Rectangle Frame die from MFT {I used the stitched frame from Blueprints 13 as a guideline for creating the pocket.}  Each frame is cut from a piece of Basic Grey designer paper.  I die cut and stamped three of the sweet Birdie Brown Warmest Wishes on Neenah Solar White and colored them with Copics.  The sentiment is stamped on a Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX.  I did pop up Birdie Brown and added a pearl to her matching paper pieced scarf and some Stickles to her hat.   She’s very sweet!

You Rock

Hi all!  Happy Sunday!  It’s a frigid one here in NJ.  It’s a good day for hibernating!  I needed to make a card for my son for Valentine’s Day and I was itching to play with my new MFT goodies.  Love how this came out.

This was a very clean card, but lots of POP to it!  I inked up my Equalizer stencil with three different greens – Spearmint, Limeade and Limelight.  I didn’t mask off or anything – just allowed the colors to overlap.  The headphones are cut from Black Licorice and Limelight card stocks.  I POPPED them up on dimensionals and stamped You Rock from Keep on Rockin’ in Steel Grey directly onto the equalizer bars.   Simple works for 7 year old boys — he came up with his card this morning, asking his sister if she got the “you rock” part.

Hi all!  Happy Monday!  My kids have a snow day, again!  They are moderately excited about it — unfortunately, it has been raining, making everything really mushy and gross — so they aren’t outside playing as they’d like.  Plus, today was supposed to be pajama day at school – a Monday after the Super Bowl tradition.  They didn’t want to miss that and hopefully, they will postpone or reschedule that.

Yesterday I managed to knock out my weekly MFTWSC card.  I’m quite excited about how this came out.

When I first saw the sketch, I immediately thought of the Tag Builder Blueprints 3.  I cut the rounded stitched tag from white and added in the cut hearts.  I wanted to go with a striking and traditional Valentine color scheme.  The Electric Red adds a nice, rich pop of color.  I cut out two hearts from the Blueprints set as well.  Then I cut love from the Peace, Love, Joy die-namics set five times — 2 times in black and 3 in red.  Love the 3d effect it gives to the word and card.
