Bye Bye Blogger, Hello WordPress

After many years on Blogger, I’ve decided to move my blog over to WordPress.  Within the past few months, I’ve encountered some very bizarre quirks in posting to Blogger.  In addition to that, I was getting the itch for a cleaner blog layout.  So I’m giving this a try!  I’ve {ahem, my husband} imported my posts from Blogger.  There will be some links that need to be changed as they are directing to the Blogger blog, which will likely not be there shortly.  Please bear with me as I get all the little bells & whistles figured out!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Wee Break!

Hi all!  Taking a wee bit of a break from blogging!  I have some holiday cards to share with you and will do so over the next week.  As I’m sure all of you understand, this is a hectic time of year with lots going on.  I hope you are doing well and enjoying lots of wonderful holiday-ness!

A Sweet Sock Bouquet

Hi all! Sorry for the long absence. I finally had my reconstructive surgery on Friday.  It’s been a long time coming – over a year since my mastectomy and three months shy of my two year anniversary of diagnosis.  I’m recovering at home, trying to remember that I can’t lift my arms. Needless to say I won’t be crafting much.

I have a sweet little gift I made for my friend Michele who had a little girl in February.  I saw this on Pinterest and needed to give it a try.

I bought six pair of baby socks and wrapped them around floral stems that had floral wire attached. The wire was handy so that I didn’t need to use floral tape around them.

I put each flower into a bucket and added in some artificial leaves to fill it in.

That’s all for today!

LOVEFEST2013I Inching By to Say Hi!

Hi all! As I type this, we are getting snow AGAIN! My kids are even tired of the white stuff. We’ve talked about how the calendar will say spring on Wednesday, but the weather will likely say otherwise.  I’m so ready for spring and spring weather!

Today I have a pair of 3×3 cards I made for a Love Fest challenge. I used Way to go Kiddo from Papertrey Ink.  I kept them very simple as they will likely end up in my kiddos lunch boxes.

Ornament Trio

Happy Tuesday!  Just a quick pop in with a card I made for a Christmas card making session with friends.  Now, I thought I was taking it easy on them by not doing a coloring card, but this was quite in depth for them.  We had lots of laughs about it.

I followed this week’s MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch with a little tweaking.  I really like the Christmas Ornaments Die and Stamp Set and it worked perfectly for this sketch.  The greens are so fun and festive.
