TD10 Celebrate Today

Good Morning!  It’s the 7th, which means a new Tiffany Doodles challenge!  This month we have a fabulous photo inspiration for you.  Remember, the challenge will run today through the 21st.
So first up is your photo inspiration.

Isn’t that a gorgeous picture?

I decided to pull the colors from the photo, knowing immediately that I wanted to use Basic Grey Sultry paper.  I picked the Summer Dress image and paper pieced it with one of my favorite papers from the Sultry line.  This matched up wonderfully with Raspberry Fizz and Spring Moss, along with a piece of houndstooth patterned paper from the Sultry line as well.  Twill ribbon and pearls finished off the look.

We’d love to have you play along with us.  Please upload your NEW project based on the above photo.  You don’t have to use Tiffany Doodles’ images, however we’d love to see them if you have them.  The top prize for the challenge will given to a participant who uses a Tiffany Doodles image on their project.

OH, and before I forget…..the winner of the ducky umbrella image from the blog hop is

#23 is mtscrapgal.  Please contact me at pinkroomtherapy@gmail.com so that I can get you your own ducky umbrella image!  Thanks!

Hi there, Spring!

Good Morning! Welcome to the Tiffany Doodles Blog Hop!  Maybe all of the cute & springy images along the way will give spring the nudge it needs to come out a bit early!  So if you have come here via Tiffany’s blog, you are on the right track.  You’ll want to make sure to leave comments on each blog along the way, as well as become a follower, if you aren’t already.  Each design team member will be giving away a digi, as well as a grand prize at the Tiffany Doodles blog.

This little cutie just screams spring — she just needs a puddle to jump in!  You can see my kick of paper piecing continues.  I used papers from the Basic Grey Lime Rickey pack to piece her jacket & umbrella.  The Lime Rickey works really well with Only Orange and Lemon Drop from Gina K.  Lots of  little rhinestones work well on this layout, which was this week’s sketch from The Sweet Stop.  I will be giving away this adorable Ducky Umbrella image — I will announce the winner of this image on Monday in my challenge post!

A few other notes before you go hopping along:

  • The next Tiffany Doodles challenge starts on Monday.  The challenge will run for two weeks, through the 21st.
  • You will want to grab your Tiffany Doodles’ images for the challenge — using one gives you a chance at the top prize.

    • Buy 5 items, get 10% off your order.  Use code 10off5.
    • Buy 10 items, get 20% off your order.  Use code 20off10.

TD09 Love Overflowing

Good Morning!  We have a new Tiffany Doodles challenge for you this morning and there are a few changes to note.  First, the challenge will last for two weeks.  Second, we want to encourage you to use your Tiffany Doodles images — a $10 voucher for the Tiffany Doodles store is up for grabs for a project using a Tiffany Doodles image.  An additional $5 voucher is up for grabs for any other entries (TD image or non-TD image).

So our challenge to you is to create a Valentine’s or love themed project.  Tiffany has some fabulous digis in the store that will work perfectly for this.

I decided to use the adorable Umbrella Hearts image.  Originally, I had colored the hearts, knowing I wanted to paper piece the umbrella.  However, when I went to cut it out with a Nestie, I couldn’t decide which shape to use.  So I decided to go with a one layer card, using Gina K Pure Luxury.  I paper pieced the umbrella, colored the hearts and then continued the overflowing hearts onto the bottom with some heart Sparkle Gems from Hero Arts.  Inside I added a sentiment, printing it on the opposite side of the paper.  It reads “may your day overflow with love and happiness.”

Make sure you check out the other fabulous DT creations.

Tiffany Doodles Sneak Peak #3!

Good Morning!  Today I have a preview of a new Tiffany Doodles image that will be released on Friday, January 28th.  Tiffany has some of the most gorgeous flowers in her store — and some of the most uncommon (at least to me! LOL!).  Today I have the nicotiana flower.  I had to google it to see what it looked like and they are just gorgeous flowers.  Most of the flowers were pink, but I found this lovely picture, which I used for my inspiration.

Isn’t that a gorgeous flower?!   I loved the mix of red and white flowers.  After coloring the red flowers (it took me 3 tries to get it the way I wanted it to be), I colored the white flowers with C0 gray marker to make it look a bit more “done.” I added a touch of Smooch to the white petals. After cutting it out with the Labels Ten Nestie, I put down a mask of the flower and sponged very lightly with Memento Angel Pink over the top.   I chose a Simply Chartreuse base and Sweet Blush as background.  I punched the image panel and pulled some gorgeous May Arts ribbon threw for a nice big bow.
