Kaboodle Doodles #71 — Flower Power

Good Morning!  Well, I’m down to the last full week of school for the kids. My son is done on Friday.  We picked up a fantastic dress for my daughter’s “moving up” ceremony on Tuesday — it is very similar to the dress she wore for her 1 year pictures.  I should probably buy a box of tissues to take with to the program.  LOL!

Today starts a new Kaboodle Doodles challenge.  We are sponsored by Tiffany Doodles this week.  Our theme is Flower Power — which goes perfectly given Tiffany’s vast catalog of fabulous flower images.  Five images from Tiffany’s Doodles are up for grabs this week.   But, if you want to pick up a few TD images, Tiffany is having a buy 3 images, get 1 free sale.  Check out the store for details.

I used one of Tiffany’s fabulous Doodle Blooms from VI.  My picture taking skills seem to be absent lately because this does nothing for the actual card.  I colored up three of this poinsettia like image in varying shades of purples and cut them out.  I arranged them diagonally to a piece of embossed white.  Kept it very simple.

We’d love to have you play along with us.  Just upload your NEW project featuring a flower with a DIRECT LINK to your blog post.

Tiffany Doodles — Steppin’ into Summer

Good Morning!  Well, today starts a new Tiffany Doodles challenge, but it also marks the end of my design team term with Tiffany Doodles.  It is so hard to believe that it has been a year since I joined the team.  A special thank you to Tiffany for providing me with awesome digis over the past year and the opportunity to be part of her team!

Our challenge for the next two weeks is Steppin’ Into Summer.

I used the super fun 3 surfboards image.  I pulled out some groovy Basic Grey Lime Rickey papers and paper pieced each board.  The card is very CAS — I wanted to go for a great guy’s card.  Prior to embossing the yellow, I stamped the sentiment.  Some twine and I was done!

We’d love to have your play along with us!  You have two weeks to play along. You don’t need to use a TD image to play along, but we’d LOVE to see them if you have them.  Just upload your NEW project to the Tiffany Doodles blog with a DIRECT LINK to your blog post (not just your blog).

Tiffany Doodles — A Doodle Bloom for Mom

Happy Saturday!  Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!  Ours looks to be quite busy with some puppy proofing and other home improvement projects.  Hopefully some stamping time squeezed in and lots of productiveness!

Today starts a new Tiffany Doodles challenge.  If you are familiar with Tiffany’s images, you know she has a fabulous selection of flower images in the store.  So this month, we are challenging you to show your “Flower Power” — we’d love to see your favorite Tiffany Doodles images if you have them.

With the addition of our puppy, I’ve been behind all week.  I needed Mother’s Day cards for my mom and mother-in-law so this was the perfect use for one of Tiffany’s Doodle Blooms flowers.  My card features a flower from Volume I of the Doodle Blooms.  I used some of my favorite colors — Berry Sorbet and New Leaf — unfortunately, this didn’t photograph well and it looks rather drained of color, but it is so pretty IRL.  To mat the flower, I cut out two lacey circles and then cut the one side of the green circle.  Then I intertwined them together, giving an awesome effect.  A nice bow with button and some pearls finished it off nicely.

Make sure you check out the other fabulous creations from the Tiffany Doodles design team. Then, we’d love to see what you come up with — just link up your NEW creation to the Tiffany Doodles blog by May 21st.

Tiffany Doodles — Military Tags Sneak Peak

Good Morning!  We have another sneak peak from Tiffany Doodles.  This is a great set — honoring military servicemen & women, along with their families.  I went with a very CAS card — a one layer card!

I set up the pearls to be just under the dog tags.  The pearls are colored with Smooch Iridescent.  I added in some black twine and the sentiment with a pearl brad.  Very simple, but I think it highlights the meaning behind the set.

Make sure you check out the Tiffany Doodles blog to see the other sneak peaks with this set, as well as three others being released on Friday.  The set will be available on Friday in the Tiffany Doodles store

Tiffany Doodles — Carriage Sneak Peak

Hi all!  I just can’t seem to get into any sort of groove.  A few weeks ago, things were just rolling so well and now it’s a struggle.  It is highly frustrating!  Hopefully things start rolling again soon!

Anyway, today I have a sneak peak of a new image from Tiffany Doodles.  This adorable carriage will be available in the store on Friday.

Isn’t that an adorable image?  That cute little bird on the handle is just too much — reminds me of the sweet birds in Snow White.  I wanted to go with a gender neutral card, so I chose to surprise — paper piece the carriage with some Memory Box Pixie paper.  I paired it with Lemon Tart and Spring Moss.  The layout is really simple — adding in a bow, some pearls and a sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages.

Make sure you check out the other design team peaks today over on the Tiffany Doodles’ blog and then pick up your own baby carriage on Friday.

Tiffany Doodles –Eggstra Turquoise

Good Morning!  It’s time for a new Tiffany Doodles challenge.  This month, Tiffany has provided us with a gorgeous color pallet of turquoises.  It’s perfect for spring and Easter.

I decided to use three different images that work really well with these colors.  I used Easter Egg 1 and 2, as well as last week’s freebie bow.  When I set out with my layout, I was going between a one layer white card and a multi-layer card.  I ended up using Bermuda Bay and Aqua Mist and some really nice designer papers.  My kick of paper piecing continued with paper piecing two of the eggs and the bow.  The polka dotted egg is colored with Copics and then I brushed Smooch Illuminate over the top to give a bit of sheen.  Some pearls finished it off — although I have to say I fought with the amount of white space and my faux bow.  I didn’t add a sentiment as I didn’t like having it unbalanced.  As my husband said, everyone would know it is an Easter card.  LOL!

We’d love to have you play along with us!  You have until the 21st to link up your NEW creation to the Tiffany Doodles blog.  If you use a TD image, you have a chance to win the top prize!
