Grateful for You

Hi all! When I placed my order with Concord & 9th the other day, I received this sweet Grateful for You stamp with my order.  It makes for more quick and easy cards!

Grateful for You

Isn’t this a sweet floral?  I stamped it in VersaFine Onyx and embossed it with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper.  I then colored the flowers with the latest Color Throwdown combo in mind.  Upon finishing it, I cut it out with a Pierced Rectangle STAX die and added some fun foam for dimension on the back.  I had some really heavy duty navy cardstock from many moons ago in my stash.  There is a faint stripe in the card and it isn’t navy on both sides.   I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch again for this week. I love the simplicity of it.  For the edges, I added little navy pearls — the bottom line went on fine and the top started to come off the adhesive (grr!) or fling all over the place when I tried to use my tweezers (insert eyeroll here!).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

FTHS #123 — Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi all! Happy Monday! I’m here with a card featuring the newest I {heart} Sketches sketch …with a twist challenge.  First up is the sketch.

For my card, I opted to use the current October Stamp of the Month and to flip the sketch.
I aligned my cornucopia with one of the sentiments from the set, Happy Thanksgiving. After printing and coloring with Copics, I cut it out with the stitched rectangle from Blueprints 13 from MFT. I use that die so much I don’t put it away. It just hangs on a magnetic strip next to my desk. Since I considered the rectangle in the sketch to be my cornucopia and the polka dotted line is my sentiment, I knew I wanted to go with a very CAS card. I cut a card base of Kraft card stock and found the perfect ribbon to compliment the card. After tying up a pretty bow, I added in a trio of sequins to add just a small amount of sparkle.

Please stop by the From the Heart Stamps blog to see the other fantastic projects from my fellow design team ladies. We hope you’ll be able to join us this week!

Thankful for…

Happy Saturday all!  Can you believe next Thursday is Thanksgiving?!  I know it’s early this year, but it seems really early!  I’m thankful that our Thanksgiving is very low key and just us at home.  It makes things so much less stressful.
There’s a new BINGO challenge over at Catch the Bug starting today.  I decided to make a thank you card that will go to our friends who hosted us while our power was out.
You know, if you think that little habit of collecting stamps and supplies and not getting them inky, stops when you use digis — sorry, so not true!  I have so many images that have never been printed and colored.  This little Bobblehead Thanksgiving Indian Girl was in that category.  I’m thankful she’s now out of that category! 🙂  The sketch is from Seems a Little Sketchy this week and it worked really well.  Our BINGO card is below — I used brown, pearl and flower.  I almost had a double BINGO, as I wanted to add in a Thank You sentiment, but didn’t like any placement.  So, just one BINGO.
We’d love to have you join us this week.  You can win up to 7 free digis from the Bugaboo Stamps store — hopefully, you’ll be better at getting them on paper and colored than I am. LOL!

So Grateful Pocket Wishes

Good Morning!  A new challenge at Catch the Bug starts today and we give you the theme of “It’s in the Pocket”.  Either make a pocket card of some sort or feature a pocket on your card.  I chose to go with a criss cross card.

Now I must admit that I am challenged with some aspects.  No matter how I cut my designer paper, I always ended up with a piece cut incorrectly to fit the triangles how I wanted them to be.  So, I gave up with the designer paper and chose to emboss a piece of Harvest Gold with the Tartan Cuttlebug folder.  I used the Fancy Sunbonnet Thanksgiving image.  Instead of using a cardstock band around it, I used a piece of ribbon.

For the inside card, I “stitched” an edge and stamped a sentiment from Gina K.  On top I added a tab with a leaf brad.
