You’re My Person XOXO

Hi all!  As you may have heard, Jennifer McGuire started an awesome challenge/campaign on her new site, promoting kindness, specifically handmade kindness (#sharehandmadekindness).  I’ve seen many in our crafting community promoting this concept — especially through the exchange of cards.  I think it’s a fantastic idea and am looking forward to some good old fashioned happy snail mail {not the rotten bill snail mail!}.

The first “challenge” is to make and give something handmade to a friend or family member.  Last night, the creative mojo was actively participating {LOL} and I was able to create this {super} quick card, which will go to my husband.

I had some panels already pre-made with MFT’s Hugs & Kisses cover-up plate.  I had lost most of the last row and had just taped up the back for the remainder.  I thought this would make a really sweet background.  So I glued down my panel on a white card base.  I then pulled out some vellum and Written in Watercolor stamp set.  I stamped “you’re my person” in VersaMark and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  My husband will get the Grey’s Anatomy reference or at least, I hope he does.  I trimmed the vellum down and glued it down to my card.  I added black rhinestone centers to my o’s on the edge.  Super quick is the understatement!  I think I was done in 10 minutes!  This will sneak it’s way into my husband’s work bag tomorrow morning.
