Halloween Blocks Card Set

Good Morning! It’s Friday, which means freebie day at Bugaboo Stamps. Jodie has a fantastic Halloween image for you this week and the accompanying images are equally fantastic. Usually, we do not see the entire collection on freebie or new release days, but this time Jodie spoiled us.

Isn’t that a great collection of images? Your freebie this week is the witch’s shoes. I decided to make up a set of 4.25 square cards, using each of the images. All of the cards have a base of Basic Grey. I pulled out papers from the Recollections Halloween paper stack and Debbie Mumm Harvest & Holidays pack to match up with Only Orange, Simply Chartreuse and Lavender Lace.  The spider is the odd man out and I used Pure Poppy.  Each has ribbon, Glitter Dots and glitter for embellies.

PWC117 You’re #1

Hi all! Happy Sunday! I was so happy to find some time to spend in my room yesterday. Today I have a card using Fraces’ sketch for the Paper Pretties challenge. I was lucky enough to win the Go Team! set during the Paper Pretties grand reopening and she worked perfectly with this sketch.

Since the new football season is almost here, I decided to do this in my favorite team’s colors. Of course, these are the colors of the Green Bay Packers. I colored her with Copics, keeping it very simple. I stamped the sentiment along the side. For papers, I went with Simply Chartreuse, Harvest Gold and Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety. Harvest Gold satin ribbon and some Glitter Dots completed this fun card.

Strawberry Bubbles

Good Morning! I have the anything but a card post for Bugaboo Stamps today. A while back, I had found this cute basket of strawberry bath goodies at Christmas Tree Shops. I’m not sure if you have these by you, but they have some great deals. As far as I can figure though, it has nothing to do with Christmas. LOL! Anyway, this basket was only $1.99. Included in the basket were bottles of bath salts, bubble bath and shower gel, a pair of bath fizzies, and a poof.

I simply took the labels off of the bottles and replaced them with cute Strawberry Sunbonnet images. This was a simple & very effective way to take a rather non-descript basket and turn into something special and personalized.

I added in a trim of red grosgrain and an appropriate Sunbonnet holding her strawberry basket.

Luck for School

My daughter starts Kindergarten two weeks from today. YIKES! Due to her Type 1 diabetes, the start of the school year means more than just making sure she has the right supplies and clothes. As she is dependent on someone to do her pump & testing, we will have an aide. We have to train this person and have yet to find out who that is – it is making me a bit nervous, to say the least.

I made my card with her in mind on her first day, but I might need the luck myself. LOL!

This week’s Wild Flower Patch challenge, which I’m sneaking in under the wire, is for polka dots. I used School Days Ivy and colored her up, using the colors in my dp as a palette. The paper comes from The Paper Studio Serendipity. I paired that up with Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip. Oh, how I love Soft Sky! The layout is this week’s Sketch Saturday sketch. I love using ribbon on the corners and had some really pretty double sided ribbon from Hobby Lobby that fit the color palette perfectly.

Wishing on a Cupcake

Happy Saturday! I hope when this autoposts that I am still sleeping! I’ve been getting to bed too late and up too early — could really use a morning to pull the covers over my head. LOL! With the start of school around the corner, I figure I better replenish (read: actually stock) my kid birthday card stash. I pulled out one of my favorite Bugaboo Stamps collections — the Wee Ones Birthday.

Looking at this card just makes me smile! What is even better is that it came together quite easily! The little cutie is colored with Copics. My colors came from the DCWV Nana’s Kids paper. This paper pack is one of my favorite DCWV packs — many of the designs are embossed, including this one. The dp is then matched up with Regal Rose and Gina K’s Cream de Menthe for a really fun & yummy combo. The layout is nice & simple, following this week’s OCC Sketch blog sketch. The sentiment is from There She Goes Make a Wish and punched out with my Word Window punch. I touched the edges with Angel Pink Memneto ink and added two little brads. A nice big, double bow of Regal Rose grosgrain & a pink button finished it off.

Celebrate Today

Good Morning! Today is Oldie but Goodie day at Bugaboo Stamps. It’s fun to pull out something you haven’t used in a while. I chose to pull out one of my Bugaboo Brats – Sean Dog.

This is such a cute image and so perfectly boyish. It’s perfect for this week’s Stamptacular Sunday Challenge too — snips, snails & puppy dog tails. Using the latest Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch, I paired up my newest PTI colors, Harvest Gold and Simply Chartreuse. The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety and is PERFECT with these colors. I used my cornice punch again along the bottom, added in some saddle stitch Harvest Gold ribbon and 3 mini buttons. The sentiment is from my mainstay Mega Mixed Messages set.

PWC113 Make a Splash

Happy Sunday! Hope you are having a relaxing day. Mine has been productive, which is always a plus. I hadn’t used any of my Paper Pretties stamps in quite some time. Recently Paper Pretties was sold and they have resurrected the weekly challenge. This week was a sketch by Frances, who always creates fantastic sketches, so I decided to dust off my stamps and play along.

This little Sophia could easily be my daughter. Every sunny day of the summer. She loves to swim and has recently started swimming in the deep end of the pool without her vest. I joke she’s part fish. LOL!

I decided to go with a new-to-me combo of Summer Sunrise and Regal Rose, along with a fun flower print from DCWV Adhesive mat stack. This is a big square card, measuring 5.5″. The Summer Sunrise is embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots. Even though this is a 5×7 folder, I still had to do some finagling to cover the entire piece. I cut it roughly in half and covered that seam with a piece of rose grosgrain.

Sophia is colored with Copics and her splash is covered with Glossy Accents. I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with the Word Window punch. The Word Window/Modern Tag punch combo has to be my favorite way to add in a sentiment.
