Happy 90th!

Happy Monday!  Hopefully everyone is getting into some cooler, more bearable temperatures this week.   I’m sure the electric companies are all giddy with glee over the money flowing in for air conditioning! I actually spent a lot of time in my room this weekend, getting quite a few cards completed, which you’ll be seeing next week.

This week, I have some older projects that have yet to make it onto my blog.  First up is a birthday card for my husband’s grandmother.  She celebrated her 90th birthday last month and I have to admit that we don’t know her all that well. I asked his mom for her favorite color and she said blue.  So that was my primary starting point.

After finding the perfect papers from Cosmo Cricket Social Club, which matched with Simply Chartreuse and Ocean Tides perfectly, I decided to go with a very simple layout.  I used “I’ve Got Your Number” from Mint Motif.  After stamping the 90, instead of coloring the numbers in, I used pearls to fill them.  Very simple and elegant!
