FTHS – Monstrously Sweet

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. We have a Sweet Treat Theme this month. Our designers are showcasing lots of gorgeous projects.

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store.

We are having a little twist this month! Some of our designers are adding some sparkly sequins to their projects. As you move through the hop, count up how many sequins were used among all the cards. Email your answer to Faith:(faith@fromtheheartstamps.com) for a chance to win a $15 voucher to the FTHS store!

If you have arrived from Brenda, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

Here is my project, using  Monster Sundae and the current FTHS #146 sketch.

FTHS146 April Hop

This is such a fun image!  I colored him up with Copics and cut him out with a Stitched Circle STAX die.  Additionally, I cut a piece of Orange Zest with the next interval circle die, a tiny Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX and by card base.  I printed the sentiment on Neenah Solar White and cut it out with Blueprints 13.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug and cut with my paper trimmer on an angle.  Finally, I added in some sequins from Kennedy Grace Creations {Limeaid Ice}.

Now head over to Doni’s and see what fabulousness she has created.

Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Sunday April 10th at 6 am EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday April 13th.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

FTHS141 Shake Your Flakes

Hi all!  Happy Monday!  We had beautiful weather yesterday that left the kiddos really itching for spring.  They had a quick scooter ride to the playground and back — with me trying to keep up behind them! LOL!

Today I have a card for the new I {heart} Sketches sketch.

FTHS141 Shake Your Flakes

I used another of the adorable snowmen from the Dancing Snowman set.  {This is a great value — there are 3 snowmen and four sentiments in this set.  All for $1.75!} I love the retro boom box!  It was a simple coloring — I colored up that scarf in green and then pulled out some fun green patterned papers to create a monochromatic card.

Hope you are able to play along with us this week!  Remember, you receive a $1.00 credit to the From the Heart Stamps store just for playing along.

FTHS Blog Hop – A Friendly Little Hello

FtHS-blog-hop-feb

Happy Friday all!  Welcome to the February Blog Hop for From the Heart Stamps!  This month we are featuring the über-adorable snowmen/women/girls/boys/teens that Faith has been drawing.  You’ll see lots of gorgeous snowy projects along the way!

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog.  One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store.

If you have arrived from Brenda, you are in the right place.  If not, why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog so you don’t miss anything.

For my card today, I used the sweet Hello Snowman.

Isn’t she cute?  I merged this with some fun Doodlebug Valentine paper, which I thought complimented her hat well.  I kept it all in the pink family!  That sweet sentiment is included in the set, along with some great knitted hearts.  To finish it off, I added in some sequins and some Stickles on her hat.  My Stickles came out a bit more than I liked, but it worked out because those little pom-poms are almost 3D!

Now you should head over to Doni and see what she’s created.

Thanks for hopping along with us today.  The hop will end on Monday, February 8th at 6 AM.  Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday, February 10.

Boy Birthday Wishes

Hi all!  Happy Thursday!  It feels a bit like my Friday — my husband is off tomorrow and the kids have a half day of school.  I’ve been busy with two different committees lately and when I’m attending meetings, I’m taking every effort to spend the time in my craft room.  It has been great!  Having my computer located on my desk is a HUGE help to my productivity.

This cutie is for today’s Bugaboo challenge for a masculine birthday card.  Again, I pulled from my stash of colored images and came out with another Wee One.  A very simple layout and fun papers from Basic Grey Cupcake.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card!

Bugaboo is 3!

Hi all!  I went into my stash of colored images the other day, in search of images to use for Bugaboo’s 3rd birthday celebration.  I came up with an image from one of my favorite collections — the Wee Ones.

I love these little birthday images — they are perfect for little kid cards.  My layout is this week’s Sweet Stop sketch and the papers are from American Crafts.  Bright & cheery — again perfect for a kiddo!

Hugs & Smiles

Happy Thursday! I have my fourth card for the HYCCT challenges and a Bugaboo Oldie But Goodie.  HYCCT1201B is For Kids’ Sake.  I know for my kiddos went through a lot with my cancer treatments — it is traumatic to see your mom losing her hair or with no hair at all.  Never mind, the additional sickness, tiredness, crankiness, surgery, etc, etc, etc.  I know kids are resilient, but I’m not only glad to be through all of this for myself, but also for them.

Anyway, with the HYCCT challenge, I decided to do a supportive card for a child.  I had this adorable Bugaboo Brat -Desiree colored in my stash and she worked perfectly.

This is a really fun color combo of Purely Pomegranate and Simply Chartreuse from PTI.  It’s complimented by Basic Grey Lemonade.  I love the cheeriness of the chartreuse, which I find ironic because I wouldn’t usually think cheery when I think chartreuse. KWIM?!  The sentiment is from Gina K and I think it just fits really well.  Hugs & Smiles!

Passport Stamp Bingo

Hi all!  It’s about time I share this big project I made back in May.  The preschool my kids attended was holding a carnival fundraiser, along with silent auction baskets.  My son’s class was supposed to do a theme of around the world for their basket.

I created a table in Word and printed off “BINGO” blanks.  There are 15 squares on each card.  I used many of the Travel Sticker Stamps, as well as Tourist Riley, Route 66 Riley, Sitting on Trunk Riley, and Map Riley. There are 5 cards in the set, so I had quite a bit of coloring to do!  After coloring, I laminated them for long term use.

Of course, without having the traditional letter and numbers to call the game, I made up little cards to draw.

These were also laminated and on the back side, I put a little circle with “Passport Stamp Bingo” on each.  I have yet another set of these to make as my kids want their own set!  Maybe a good project for the winter!
