MFTWSC172 Class of 2014

Hi all!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a lovely Easter or Passover holiday!  My kids had a pseudo spring break.  We were off Monday & Tuesday and went on a small trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate one of the days and we didn’t see all that we could have.  We did stay at a great hotel with a pool and min-waterpark that the kids put to very good use.  They were back in school on Wednesday and Thursday and then off on Friday.  These were make-up snow days and I hope the district hit the number of students in school needed for the day to count.

Anywho, I have my weekly MFTWSC card today.  I put it together rather quickly as the weather today is very nice and I want to get outside.

I don’t know anyone graduating this year, but I do want to have some graduation cards in my stash, just in case.  These are the colors of our local school.  I embossed the white panel with Darice stars embossing folder, as well as the small navy panel.  The rest is all the work of die-namics.  I popped the graduation cap up on dimensionals.

The Tassel is Worth the Hassle

Hi all! Wow, this week is going by rather quickly!  I guess that is the benefit of having a holiday on Monday.  I have the graduation card I made for our friend’s daughter.  Her party was nice — even though the weather did not cooperate fully.

For the card I pulled out the MFT a la mode Grad Girl and I just love how this turned out.

The graduate’s school colors were maroon and white.  I chose Scarlet Jewel, Sweet Blush and Basic Grey Bittersweet for my papers.  The graduate is going to school for music, so I added in some musical notes. The layout is this week’s Sketch Saturday sketch.  Now, I wanted to have this to be a gift card holder.

Inside I added a pocket on the left side for the gift card.  On the right, I stamped another sentiment from the set and added some more notes.  (Please excuse the fuzzy corner of the picture, it seems my camera was a bit dirty.)
