Grateful for You

Hi all! When I placed my order with Concord & 9th the other day, I received this sweet Grateful for You stamp with my order.  It makes for more quick and easy cards!

Grateful for You

Isn’t this a sweet floral?  I stamped it in VersaFine Onyx and embossed it with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper.  I then colored the flowers with the latest Color Throwdown combo in mind.  Upon finishing it, I cut it out with a Pierced Rectangle STAX die and added some fun foam for dimension on the back.  I had some really heavy duty navy cardstock from many moons ago in my stash.  There is a faint stripe in the card and it isn’t navy on both sides.   I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch again for this week. I love the simplicity of it.  For the edges, I added little navy pearls — the bottom line went on fine and the top started to come off the adhesive (grr!) or fling all over the place when I tried to use my tweezers (insert eyeroll here!).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

You’re Aces With Me!

Hi all!  Happy Friday!  I have a very clean and simple card today, featuring a fantastic Birdbrain image from From the Heart Stamps.  It breaks my heart that we lost Faith in July and I think of her every time I see or use one of her fabulous images.

You're Aces With Me

Out of Faith’s images, the Birdbrains were always my favorites.  I used the Birdbrain Card Sharks here and made it the focal point of the entire card panel.  {There are 11 sentiments to choose from in this set!}  I colored up my birds in a variety of grays — hoping this works for the current Color Throwdown challenge of red, black and white.  The only addition I made was some Diamond Glaze to their eyeballs (my Glossy Accents EXPLODED everywhere — OY what a mess!).

LOVE – 2 Ways

30 day sept 2017.png

Hi all! I’m so happy to be back into a crafty groove in a more frequent basis.  It snuck up on me a bit quick, but the latest 30 Day Coloring Challenge started yesterday.  I didn’t get to color yesterday, but today I was able to get some really needed crafty therapy.

Sept 30 Day 2 Blending

Today I opted for some Distress Ink blending.  I finally picked up some Bristol cardstock after watching some Jennifer McGuire videos.  I really love how the inks blend so smoothly on it.  I used Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Ripe Persimmon in my blend.

On a trip to Michaels today, I picked up a Recollections die {the word love} that I’d been eyeing for quite a few trips.  Since I had a 50% off coupon, I decided to get it today.  It’s a big die – basically covering a full card and would work really well on scrapbooking pages.   So I cut the love out of my blended piece, planning to make two cards with it.

Blended Love Shaker

First up was a shaker card.  I LOVE this script and the size.  After cutting the word out, the little bits for the l, o and e remained in the die, which was great.  I adhered a piece of overhead transparency to the back right away and brushed it with my embossing powder tool.  I then flipped the piece over and placed the love into the die cut.  Prior to placing the love into the cut, I added just a touch of liquid glue to the little bits.  Using a pick me up tool, I pressed out those little bits and then pulled the die back up with the love still intact.  I then added a bunch of foam tape around the love and edges to create the zone for the sequins.  Once I had the desired amount inside, I placed the card over the panel.  To complete it, I added just a few additional sequins to the front.

Love Shaker

I really LOVE the vibrancy of the blended colors!

Love xs and os

For a second and very quick card, I used the actual die cut to create a very clean and simple card.  I cut a panel of white cardstock with the Blueprints 13 frame.  I stamped a sentiment from the current Xs and Os card kit from MFT in VersaFine Onyx ink with my MISTI.  I embossed that with clear embossing powder — my favorite way to do sentiments.  I added some liquid glue around the back of the love and placed it on that panel.  I popped that entire panel up with a piece of fun foam on a white card base.  Again, I added a handful of sequins to finish it off.

Two rather quick cards and I LOVE how they turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

LOVE Always Wins

Hi all!  It’s been a very long time since I participated in one of the weekly MFT sketch challenges.   Today was as good as any to put together a card for the current challenge.

MFTWSC348 Love Always Wins

I used Distress Inks to blend up a rainbow background on Bristol cardstock.  I cut it out with a Vertical Stitched Strips die {retired} and cut an additional panel with a Horizontal Stitched Strip die {retired}.  The rainbow panel is glued down to a Blueprints 13 frame.  On the Horizontal Stitched Strip panel, I stamped a sentiment from the Xs and Os card kit stamp set in VersaFine Onyx ink.  The sentiment was then embossed with clear embossing powder.   For my rainbow panel, I glued four tic tac toe boards together to get a bit of dimension.  I cut a bunch of hearts from the remainder of the rainbow panel and doubled up the ones within the board.  Finally, I added in a trio outside of the board to finish it off.  All of that is glued down to a Grout Gray card base.

A NYC Rainbow Hello

RBW_participant

Hi all!  I’m back again with another card for the Rainbow Maker Online Card Class.  It’s another CAS card, created with scraps of paper and die cut.

NYC Rainbow Hello

My papers are all Recollection colors.  I did a major organization binge — details of that will come later — and had lots of strips leftover.  I glued them down and then cut the NYC skyline {MFT Stamps – retired} from that piece.   I then cut a hello, also from that rainbow piece and mounted that on a black hello base.  {Top Dog Dies – Hello, retired}  Finally, I added in some sparkly sequins and that was it!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

FTHS I’ll Be There For You

Hi all!  I’m back again this week with a card featuring the current sketch challenge at From the Heart Stamps.

FTHS165 There For You

I used the Rainy Day Birdbrains and went with a fun green & blue color combo.  I colored them up with Copics and cut them out with a Stitched Circle STAX die.  I wanted to keep this simple, so I only added Glossy Accents to the rain drops and their eyes.  The paper is from Kaisercraft Chapter One and it is on a base of Smokey Shadow from PTI.  Inside I added a panel of Ocean Tides, also from PTI.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

Sending BIG Hugs

Hi all!  I’m happy to be here with something new to share!  Not only is this the first thing I’ve made this year, but it is also a new image from Faith at From the Heart Stamps.  Faith has been battling cancer since the summer and she was able to get some drawing in recently.  This absolutely adorable sweet bunny is available in the shop as a freebie!  Hopefully, Faith continues to feel well enough to draw more and share her wonderful talent with us all!

{Yes, that is my Christmas tree behind the card.  It’s still up — the advantage of having an artificial tree and since it is white, I’m not rushing to take it down. 🙂 }

Isn’t she just the cutest?  I printed my bunny with one of the four sentiments included in the set.  She’s colored with Copics, keeping it quite subtle to allow for that pop with the heart.  I added some Wink of Stella to the heart to add just a touch of shimmer.  The panel is cut out with Blueprints 13 and it’s added to a Soft Stone card base.  Finally, I added in sequin trios to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Maybe I’ll manage to make it back again in January!

HUGS,

Cammy
