How’ve you bean?

Hi all!  I’m going to keep this brief!  Busy, busy around here!

FTHS How've you bean

I am not a huge jelly bean fan, but who couldn’t resist these birdbrains?!  I colored them up with a fun spring color theme and cut it out with a Pierced Rectangle STAX die.  It’s matted on a soft yellow pierced rectangle.  Because I’ve been in a CAS mode, I just added some clear Wink of Stella to the jelly beans and jar.  Finally, I popped the sentiment up.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

FTHS144 – Easter Greetings

Hi all!  Happy Monday!  I’m back with another I {heart} Sketches card this week.  It’s hard to believe next week is Easter already!  My first From the Heart Stamps purchase was the Spring Baskets trio and I love the Easter themed basket.

FTHS144 Easter Greetings

As you can see from the sketch below, I flipped it on its head and went in the opposite direction of the tWist!  LOL!  I colored up my Easter basket with Copics, randomly choosing some nice spring colors.  I cut it out using a Stitched Arch STAX die and added it to a piece of Doodlebug patterned paper {cut, of course, with Blueprints 13}.  I’m trying to pull embellishments and papers from this massive stash I’ve accumulated over the years and grabbed some pretty satin double-sided ribbon.  {Of course, after putting the card together, I had a thought that I should have done a pink ribbon like that on the basket, but I like the blue and green.}  The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti Carton Cuties.  Some tiny stashed rhinestones finished it off.

Hope you’ll get the chance to play along with us this week.  Remember, just for entering, you receive a $1.00 credit to the FTHS store.

Sweet Stampin’ – Easter

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate! Just a quick & sweet Easter card today featuring a Bugaboo Stamps image I colored during the 30 day color challenge.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the Peeker images from Bugaboo and this Easter Egg Peeker is no exception.  I paired her up with some really sweet Doodlebug papers.  I kept it very simple and just added in a trio of Pony beads turned enamel dots.

Easter Greetings

Happy Saturday all!  My kids started their abbreviated spring break yesterday.  We had an absolutely beautiful day here today.  It was 70+ degrees and is supposed to be 78 tomorrow.  It’s crazy!  Wednesday is supposed to be rainy, yucky and only in the upper 40s.  Talk about a roller coaster!

Today I have a cute little Easter card.  I don’t make a lot of Easter cards, but  I could’t resist the super adorable Carton Cuties set from Reverse Confetti.

Aren’t they the cutest?  This is going to do double duty — an Easter and birthday card for my Gram, whose birthday is the day after Easter.  Peeps were always a part of her Easter candy.  I used the April Sketch for you to try, which I flipped and papers from Doodlebug Hello Spring.  Very quick and simple!

LOVEFEST2013J Hey Chicky!

Happy Sunday all!  I still have quite a few cards to show you from the Love Fest challenges.  I’m not doing them in any order, but today I have probably my favorite card.

The challenge was sponsored by Verve and it was to use the aqua & brown colors in their logo with pink or yellow.   Color challenges always put me out of my comfort zone so I went with a non-typical card for me.

I chose to use my MFTs die-namics Hexagon to cut Chocolate Chip card stock.  Then I cut super sweet & fun papers from Doodlebug Hello Spring.  I created a fun background of the hexagons on a 4×4 square card of Cryogen.  I wrapped a duo of twine colors and added in a sentiment from There She Goes — Hey Chicky goes perfectly given the little chicks on the papers.

TSG150 Easter Pail

Happy Friday all!  A quick post today.  My kids are off for Good Friday today and had a play date earlier while I went to radiation.  My daughter has next week off of school and my son has school.  I’m so looking forward to next school year when they are both in the same school with the same schedule!

This week I was able to play along with the There She Goes challenge – the challenge being to use a metal embellishment.

I had this sweet egg bucket from Buckets of Love colored up for quite some time.  I pulled it out and made up a sweet little 4.25″ square card.  The super fun papers are from Doodlebug Hello Spring.  I added four little blue brads to get in my metal embellies.  Simple & quick!

Kaboodle Doodles #63 – Work Day Bunny

Good Morning!  Time for a new Kaboodle Doodles challenge this week and with the Easter holiday just around the corner, we are looking for your Easter themed projects.  Our sponsor is Some Odd Girl and a prize of 3 images from the Some Odd Girl store are up for grabs.

I used the super cute (and definitely overloaded) Work Day Bunny.  She looks like she is struggling so much with that big basket of eggs.  I colored her pink and gave her a fluffy belly, tail & ears with Flower Soft.  Lots of polka dots and pearls finish it off.

We’d love to have you play along with us.  Just link up your NEW project with a DIRECT LINK to your blog post (not just your blog).
