FTHS #167 Birthday Brew

Hi all!  I have a super CAS, masculine birthday card today.  It follows the latest I {heart} Sketches with a tWist and definitely follows the tWist!

FTHS167 Beer Mug

The tWist is Easy Does It and I definitely did it easy or clean and simple.  I colored my Birthday Brew with a combination of Copics and Zigs.  This was my second attempt at coloring this image — my first attempt ended badly when my silver Wink of Stella vomited all over the image.  HMPH!  So I colored it up again and cut it out with a Pierced Rectangle STAX die.  I opted to keep it very CAS to facilitate mailing.

How’ve you bean?

Hi all!  I’m going to keep this brief!  Busy, busy around here!

FTHS How've you bean

I am not a huge jelly bean fan, but who couldn’t resist these birdbrains?!  I colored them up with a fun spring color theme and cut it out with a Pierced Rectangle STAX die.  It’s matted on a soft yellow pierced rectangle.  Because I’ve been in a CAS mode, I just added some clear Wink of Stella to the jelly beans and jar.  Finally, I popped the sentiment up.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

FTHS I’ll Be There For You

Hi all!  I’m back again this week with a card featuring the current sketch challenge at From the Heart Stamps.

FTHS165 There For You

I used the Rainy Day Birdbrains and went with a fun green & blue color combo.  I colored them up with Copics and cut them out with a Stitched Circle STAX die.  I wanted to keep this simple, so I only added Glossy Accents to the rain drops and their eyes.  The paper is from Kaisercraft Chapter One and it is on a base of Smokey Shadow from PTI.  Inside I added a panel of Ocean Tides, also from PTI.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon!

FTHS #164 Wish Big!

Hi all!  Happy last Monday of February!  I have a really CAS card for the new From the Heart I {heart} Sketches with a tWist challenge.

When I saw the tWist for this challenge, I knew I wanted to do a water color background and feature a sentiment as the focal point.  I used my Zig Clear Color markers to create the watercolor background.  I then picked the Wish Big! sentiment from the Birthday Burger Birdbrain stamp set.  This allowed for a very CAS and very quick card.  Of course, I switched the oval to a rectangle.  To embellish it, I added some Nuvo drops in Caribbean Ocean.  {I held off for a LONG time before buying any Nuvo drops.  This is the only color I have.  I held off because I knew I would want all the colors.  The bottles are so pretty, I’d just like to display them. }

Hope you’ll find the time to join us!  Make sure you check out what my design teammates have made over on the From the Heart Stamps blog.

Have a great day!

FTHS #161 – Bird on a Wire

Hi all!  We are back with a sketch challenge at From the Heart Stamps.  I’m going to keep this very brief as I’m a bit under the weather.  All details, including a few changes to the challenges, are listed on the From the Heart blog.

I attempted to get everything in here!  I rotated the diagonal panel and made it straight across.  I attempted to get all of the colors in there {plus a few more to boot in the designer paper} and substituted cupcakes for birthday cake.

Thanks for popping by!

Sending BIG Hugs

Hi all!  I’m happy to be here with something new to share!  Not only is this the first thing I’ve made this year, but it is also a new image from Faith at From the Heart Stamps.  Faith has been battling cancer since the summer and she was able to get some drawing in recently.  This absolutely adorable sweet bunny is available in the shop as a freebie!  Hopefully, Faith continues to feel well enough to draw more and share her wonderful talent with us all!

{Yes, that is my Christmas tree behind the card.  It’s still up — the advantage of having an artificial tree and since it is white, I’m not rushing to take it down. 🙂 }

Isn’t she just the cutest?  I printed my bunny with one of the four sentiments included in the set.  She’s colored with Copics, keeping it quite subtle to allow for that pop with the heart.  I added some Wink of Stella to the heart to add just a touch of shimmer.  The panel is cut out with Blueprints 13 and it’s added to a Soft Stone card base.  Finally, I added in sequin trios to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Maybe I’ll manage to make it back again in January!

HUGS,

Cammy

FTHS September Blog Hop

Hi all!   Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. We have a Random Image Theme this month. Our designers are each showing a project created with an image that was randomly assigned from the store.

If you have arrived from Brenda, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

Here is my project, using Great Pumpkin Birdbrains.

FTHS Welcome Fall Sept Hop

When I received my image, I was sweltering away with real feel temperatures of 105-110 degrees.  I was dreaming of fall and fall temperatures!  My time was limited so needed to do something quick and easy.  I printed my Birdbrains and cut them out with the Blueprints 13 frame.  I left my card stock in the frame, grabbed some Distress Ink and a blending tool and another printout of the image.  I fussy cut the second copy and used a piece of washi tape to secure it over the top.  I blended my sky and grass, then removed the mask and colored my image.  I then popped it out of the frame and loved the crispness of the border.  Finally, I cut one of the sentiments out using a Sentiment Strip die, popped it up on dimensionals and added some rhinestones.  Quick & easy!  (Really, I think I spent 15 minutes!)

Now head over to Doni and see what she has created.

Thanks for hopping with us today.  Hope to see you again soon!
