My Fave 15 of ’15!

Hi all!  Happy New Year’s Eve!  {Or in some cases Happy 2016!}  I’m getting a late start on this post today, but I thought I would share my favorite 15 cards of 2015.  The other day on Instagram, I shared what were the top 9 photographs I shared there, based on your likes!

In a somewhat chronological order….

15.  Level UP!

Limelight from MFT still remains a favorite color of mine!

14. Believe In Yourself

The best thing about this card: My friend still has it displayed on her refrigerator!
I always love a good rainbow, but this was even better.  Homemade enamel dots and using up tiny strips of brightly colored paper for that umbrella!
This was a fun card!  Birthday card for a sangria lover!
I did a lot of CAS cards this year and I absolutely love this one!
This was a two card post and I love both cards.  MFT’s Summer School sessions were great.  I love the sequined clouds and the lines of  X&O’s in pops of pink!
Of course, I like this card, but I really LOVE is the reason behind it!
I was on a search in 2015 to find this MFT set.  It was retired and almost impossible to find.  I posted on SCS on the ISO boards and a very lovely fellow stamper RAK’d the stamp set and dies to me.  I was prepared to pay for them, but she wouldn’t accept anything.  This card went back to her.
I decided to take the jump back into design team work in 2015 and was so excited to join the From the Heart Stamps design team.
Love these flamingos and I was so happy with this card!
I’m not usually a fan of gold, but I love the Delicata gold ink.  Perfect for an anniversary card!
One of my favorite FTHS images of this year.  Seriously, I giggle every time I look at that birdbrain!
Love when an idea translates from your head to the paper!
I picked up the FUSE tool this fall and love how I was able to make a completely flat shaker card.
So there you have my favorite 15 of 2015!  I wish you the happiest of 2016 and may it be a
Sweet ’16!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

2014 Year in Review

Happy New Year’s Eve!  I decided last minute to do a 2014 Year in Review post.  The tale end of 2014 was quite craft heavy for me.  It started in September with cards for consignment.  October was Hope You Can Cling To on SCS.  Additionally, I was teaching a class at my kiddos’ school.  I then went directly into preparations for a holiday fair.  I also met my goal of completing all of the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenges for 2014. WHEW!!

Without further ado, my favorite projects of 2014.  Grab a cup of tea, coffee or a glass of champagne and take a peek at my faves.  I hope you see something to inspire you!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by!  My best wishes for a happy & healthy 2015!!

Zombie Happy Meal

Hi all!  I’m here to sneak in one last Halloween project.  As I mentioned, I have been teaching a class at my kiddos’ school for the PTA enrichment program after school.  I based my class in paper crafting, obviously, and used the Envelope Punch Board as an additional basis.  This was a super fun project we made.  I found this awesome tutorial for a Happy Meal Box on youtube.

So I created my Happy Meal with some old Stampin’ Up paper. You’d want a decent weight paper to create a sturdy box.

After creating my box, I stamped a panel with Sweet Stamp Shop Zombies.  I kept the panel simple because it was going to be the inspiration for 9 year olds.  I colored my zombies with Copics and then sponged some Distress ink over the top to dirty them up.  My zombie girl has a spider on her head, which is quite fancy with a rhinestone body.

Inside the box, the zombie fingers and cracker fit quite nicely.  I had intended to put in a hamburger box with something, but it didn’t fit, amongst other issues (what to put in the box, box construction).

The “fries” are zombie fingers, which I cut with my Cameo.  I used different colors of Bazzill papers from Michaels for the fingers — they had the nice texture to them, which added to the fingers.

The fingers had a box to hold them up and we put a roll of Smarties in each finger.

Finally, the cracker was filled with Zombie Kisses.  I recently discovered Jaded Blossom stamps and absolutely love the candy stamps.  Super fun!
