Have a Sweet Birthday

Hi all!  Happy Wednesday!  Just popping in with a quick post.  I used an image from Kathy Rac’s first 30 Day Coloring Challenge to create this sweet card.

I love this sweet little cupcake peeker image from Bugaboo Stamps.  I pulled some Doodlebug Fruit Stand paper to compliment her colors and used a sketch from Handmade Bliss.  {I used MFT Stitched Circle Frames, which you can find in their store.}  My sentiment is from Avery Elle’s Bonjour and I created a double ended flag with my Fishtail Flags STAX.  I pulled out some neglected Glitter Dots, which I LOVE and added them to the sentiment and circle frame to finish it off.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate! Just a quick & sweet Easter card today featuring a Bugaboo Stamps image I colored during the 30 day color challenge.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the Peeker images from Bugaboo and this Easter Egg Peeker is no exception.  I paired her up with some really sweet Doodlebug papers.  I kept it very simple and just added in a trio of Pony beads turned enamel dots.

2014 Year in Review

Happy New Year’s Eve!  I decided last minute to do a 2014 Year in Review post.  The tale end of 2014 was quite craft heavy for me.  It started in September with cards for consignment.  October was Hope You Can Cling To on SCS.  Additionally, I was teaching a class at my kiddos’ school.  I then went directly into preparations for a holiday fair.  I also met my goal of completing all of the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenges for 2014. WHEW!!

Without further ado, my favorite projects of 2014.  Grab a cup of tea, coffee or a glass of champagne and take a peek at my faves.  I hope you see something to inspire you!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by!  My best wishes for a happy & healthy 2015!!

I’m linking to my archival month of September.  I pretty much loved almost everything I made in September.  I couldn’t pick.

HYCCT1415 Silent Night Bear

Happy Wednesday! Going to keep this very brief today as I need to make sure I’m prepped for my class today.  Last week, I forgot my scoring board and it was not easy to score with a ruler!

HYCCT1415 was to use something soft and cozy on your card — whether that be fabric, felt or an image.  I opted for this sweet Bugaboo Polar Bear 2 image, which always makes me “awww” when I look at it. I colored him with Copics and cut him out with a Stitched Circles STAX die.  I kept the card very CAS and popped him up on a snowflake embossed white panel.  I added in a sweet snowflake from Blu Raspberry felt.

HYCCT1409 Nagging Gus

Happy Monday!  My kids have a short week due to teacher convention so I’m going to keep this brief.  I finished all of my HYCCT cards yesterday! YEAH!! They are all packaged and ready to ship off to MD Anderson.

Today’s card is for HYCCT1409 “Laughter is the Best Medicine.”  Since the card is quite simple, I’m going to just share a funny from when I was undergoing chemo — I would take Sex & The City or Love Actually with me to watch.  The chemo was delivered in private rooms with a door and it would seem the nurses would always come in at the most inopportune time, if you know what I mean!  LOL!  We had lots of fun conversations about the show and movie!

For my card, I pulled out Frame It Gus – her nagging.  I love these frame it images, but can never match them up to my nestabilites.  So I opted to just print, color and cut out my main front panel, going with a very CAS design.  Quick & simple!  Hope someone gets a good giggle from this one!

HYCCT1406 Hugs & Kisses Bear

Hi all!  It is a cold, dreary and rainy first day of November here.  I’m so happy that it was not like this yesterday for trick or treating.  We all had fun — it was great to dress up together as a family.  We had 14 kids and Professor McGonagall (me) attempted to keep them in line {Other parents were there and also helped, but they said it was hard not to listen to me in my costume! LOL!}– we said they had to be counted to 14 before they could go on to the next house and this was not always the easiest thing to do.  Here’s a group shot of Harry, Hermione and Professor McGonagall fighting off the dementor (my husband).

Since the weather is dreary and we are all recovering from lots of Halloween festivities, I’m planning to spend the day in my craft room, catching up on my HYCCT challenges.  Yesterday was the last day and I have 7 challenges to complete.

My card today is for HYCCT1406, which was Lee’s challenge to use a bear on your card.  The Ribbon Bear from Bugaboo Stamps was perfect for this challenge.  I colored him with Copics and cut it out with a Stitched Circle STAX.  I wanted to keep it quite CAS, so I just added a background of washi tape.  The sentiment is from PTI’s Healing Touch Sentiments.

HYCCT1402 Life & Hope

Hi all! It’s been a busy Monday today. I’m waiting to read with my kids, so I’m going to keep this brief.  We are so close to finishing Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows.

Today I have my card for HYCCT1402 Hope Floats – to include something that floats on your card and a message of hope.

I opted to use a Beautiful Block image from Bugaboo.  I think those are lily pads, but butterflies definitely float. I kept this very simple. I printed the image, colored it with Copics and popped it up on another white base with a bow of twine.
