Hi all! It has been a rough two weeks in our household. Everyone got sick with a weird flu/fever/über-fatigue bug, which was compounded by seasonal allergies & colds. My poor son has a ridiculous cough that tires him out and keeps him up at night. We are hopefully rounding the bend and getting to the point of an actual night’s rest.
Today I have a set of sweet 3×3 notecards I made using the new Kennedy Grace Creations stamp set, You Inspire Me and the new sequin mix, Kindness Medley. As soon as I saw this set, I loved it. I love the big trio of words and the pretty font — I think my adoration for pretty, script fonts is that I do not like my own handwriting! The stamps are lovely — I’ve gotten nice, crisp images straight out of the package.
These were super simple and quite quick to make. I cut watercolor paper with a Zig Zag STAX die and used Gelatos to watercolor a swash of background. To get the green I was going for, I mixed two of my Gelatos together. After letting that dry a bit (the longest part of the process), I stamped the large word in VersaFine Onyx and embossed with clear embossing powder.
I then stamped the smaller words and completing sentiments on scraps of card stock. The trickiest part was getting those little pieces cut straight! Each of those sentiments is popped up on dimensionals.
Believe it or not, I did NOT use all of the sentiment combinations available in this stamp set. There are still more! Plus, there are an additional 10 little images — hearts, flowers, leaves, dots — included in the set. Finally, I added in sequins. This is such a pretty sequin mix and I love the colors together! Now, off you go to the KG Creations store to pick up your own stamp sets & sequin mixes! You won’t be disappointed!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you again soon!
