FTHS – March Blog Hop – CASE it!

Hi all!  Happy Friday!  We have our March blog hop for From the Heart Stamps today.  Our theme this month is a fun one.  We’ve each CASE’d one of our fellow design team members.

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the From the Heart Stamps store. Additionally, one random lucky winner from the comments on the FTHS blog will win a $15 voucher to the FTHS store.

If you have arrived here from Calypso’s blog, you are in the right place.  If not, why not start on the From the Heart Stamps blog so you don’t miss anything.

I am CASE-ing Kelly and had a great time poking around her blog, checking out her gorgeous work.  For my card, I opted to pull my colors from two of Kelly’s cards.

I love that cutie Snowman, but I opted to pull the color theme from these cards.  Purples are not always the easiest for me to work with, but I love pairing it turquoise and teal.

My card is featuring the Birdbrain Winter Scarf image and the current sketch #141.  I colored up my Birdbrain using warm grays and then did the scarf in purple and turquoise.  I think part of the reason why I like these colors together is it reminds me of the ’80s {when we had a crazy fashion sense!}.  I cut my image out with a Zig Zag Square STAX die.   I opted to drop one of the side tags from the sketch layout.  I printed two sentiments from this set — the knit happens, which is a great font and I cut out with a Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX die.  The second sentiment is the “My gauge was fine until the third glass of wine.”, which I printed on the inside of the card.   My knit happens is on top of an additional flag of Vibrant Violet (Gina K).  I did pop this up on some dimensionals, which allowed me to pull a bow of turquoise satin underneath.  Finally, I added in some Glitter Dots on the sentiment tag.

Now, you should head on over to Doni’s blog to see what fabulousness she has created.

Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday, March 7th at 6 AM EST.  Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps blog on Wednesday, March 9th.
