Peace Cutout Tree

Hi all!  Try not to be too shocked by the number of posts lately!  I had some days of really helpful creative mojo and was able to get quite a few things done!  I’m here today with another super CAS and quick Christmas card.

Now, I will admit that I do not send out homemade cards – save to a few people.  For the most part, I send out a family photo Christmas card. When you have young children, it seems to be the most popular card — especially since the kiddos change so quickly from year to year.  However, if I was sending out cards, this would be a fairly quick and easy card for mass production.  It definitely fits in the “mail friendly” group.
I cut a piece of Pure Poppy (PTI) with the Blueprints 13 frame, as well as the Christmas Tree Cutout die at the same time.  I taped my tree down with a bit of washi to prevent it from moving.  I then cut out a scrap of shiny, metallic snowflake paper with the tree, as well as some black for the tree stump. Before gluing everything down, I stamped the star from an old, retired MFT set in VersaMark and embossed it with silver.  Then I glued down my red panel and laid in the tree segments.  Finally, I finished it off with a silver peace die cut.
