Hi all! I’m excited to be a guest designer for the Unicorn Challenge Blog today. They are a new monthly challenge blog. Their theme for this month’s challenge is Christmas – easy peasy, right?
For my card, I pulled out some shiny silver designer paper and lots of MFT die-namics. I cut a panel with the Snowflake Fusion cover plate. I absolutely love this cover plate. It is so elegant and pretty. I do recommend using a metal shim plate with your die cutting machine and this die. It gives you a better all the way through cut. I also cut peace from the silver as well. Nightshift Blue is such a pretty navy and it works really well with silver. I cut my card base, as well as a Rectangle Frame and a Horizontal Stitched Strip, all from Nightshift Blue. I love the new Stitched Cover Up Companions from MFT, but they aren’t in my budget right now, so I created the same feel with this. To finish the card off, I added in a few rhinestones (which would be like a Where’s Waldo? game because they blend in very well!) It’s a very simple, but elegant card. It doesn’t weigh a lot and is pretty flat (save those few rhinestones), which makes it perfect for Christmas card mailing!
Thank you to the Unicorn Challenge Blog for having me! Make sure you check out their challenge blog!
