FTHS – November Blog Hop

Hi all! Welcome to our November From the Heart Stamps blog hop.  We have a CAS and Over the Top theme this month.  Our designers are showcasing lots of gorgeous projects.

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog.  One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store.

If you have arrived from Calypso’s blog, you are in the right place.  If not, why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog so you don’t miss anything.

First up is my CAS project, using the Blowing Kisses image.

To say that I made a CAS card would be an understatement here!  I went über-CAS.  I colored my sweet snowman with Copics and cut it out with Blueprints 13 from MFT.  The card base is Plum Pudding from PTI.  Because I didn’t plan for a sentiment when I printed my image, I opted to use a stamped sentiment from a retired MFT ala mode stamp set.  There is just a tiny touch of sparkle with some Stickles to his feet and arms.  I love how this turned out and could see making these for holiday cards.
Next up is my over the top project, again using the Blowing Kisses image.
For my over the top card, I again went with a purple palette.  For my layout, I used a sketch from Cheerful Sketches Challenge Blog.  The papers are from an old pack of Recollections Bright & Basics pad.  My snowman is again colored with Copics and cut out with a Pierced Rectangle STAX die (MFT).  The sentiment is from this sweet set.  After printing it, I cut it out with a Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX (MFT) and then flipped the die around and cut again to give the double flag effect.  Before layering on my image, I added in some pretty lilac colored ribbon that has just the tiniest bit of sparkle along the edge.  I popped up my image panel with dimensionals and then popped up the sentiment panel as well.  I tied a bow, added some Stickles and two sequin trios.
Now head over to Doni’s blog and see what she has created.
Thanks for hopping with us today.  The hop will end on Monday, November 9th at 6 AM EST.  Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday, November 11th.

  1. I am absolutely in love with the color palette you chose for your Over The Top Card. The patterns you chose are magnificent together and that's not always easy to do. I think the stitching on your CAS card is the perfect accent to a great image, but have to say I think I'm drawn to the OTT version. Great cards Cammy!

  2. That's one of my favorites digis from the Project 100 Snowmen. You've made 2 lovely cards with her! I tend to be an embellisher, so I find CAS cards difficult to design, but you've sure done a great job with yours here. The stitched rectangle die is just right for keeping the focus on the image while adding a little interest.

  3. This image is so gorgeous, I love that he looks like he's about to blow you the biggest kiss!! And he's coloured so beautifully. I loved both of your designs, the colours are fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing these with us at TIME OUT!!

  4. I love your uber CAS card, so adorable and so perfectly coloured. So clever then that you can un CAS it and make such a fabulous card with gorgeous DSP, thanks for joining TO

  5. Now that is CAS perfection! love the embossed stitched border on both of these. Your sequence adds just the right sparkle in the right places. Beautifully done on both accounts.

  6. This is one of my favorite snowmen from Faith. I love how you colored it on both cards! Either blue, or lilac, both are a absolutely adorable! Thanks for inspiration.

  7. Hi Cammy, my favourite colour, how can I possibly decide? Love the CAS which I am yet to master, I simply prefer layers and can't leave well enough alone 😉 have a wonderful week… thanks for the inspiration…Megan

  8. Two great showcases of this image, he has got to be the cutest snowman I've ever seen! I absolutely adore your CAS card, perfect with just the image, sentiment and all that lovely white space.
Thanks for sharing at ATSM this week, Anita x
