I {Heart} Sketches #120 — Swinging By

Hi all!  Happy Monday!  Although my first official day on the design team for From the Heart Stamps is Friday,  I’m popping in a few days early with the new sketch from I {heart} Sketches.

As I mentioned, I just adore the snowmen Faith has been drawing.  They are so sweet!  And, they are an incredible value — while Faith is working on her goal of 100 snowmen, these are $1.00 in the store!  It isn’t just the image — it’s a full digi set with sentiments! Even at full price, they are a bargain!

Really, how could you resist these little guys?  This is the Swinging Snowman — he comes with three sentiments.  I printed two of the sentiments, using one for inside as well {the wishing you…. sentiment}.  Both panels are cut with Blueprints 13.  My snowman is printed on Stampers Select card stock from PTI and colored with Copics.  I went with a different combo of turquoise/aqua with a deep magenta.  {I did my usual, where I color the image prior to selecting any papers and then spend a ton of time trying to find papers to go with the image!  I never learn!}  My card base is Rich Razzleberry and I finally found some designer paper to go with this from My Mind’s Eye.  My snowman is cut out with a Zig Zag Square die and popped up on dimensionals.  I wanted there to be a lot of sparkle, so I added Stickles to his hat and boot cuffs, as well as the sole of the boot.  To complete it, I added a trio of sequins.    Hope you’ll consider playing along with us this week!

Before I go, join us on Friday for the Meet the Design Team blog hop!

  1. Cammy, love your color combo and all the glitter on your card.

I always choose my DP and layout first. For me it's a lot easier to make my coloration by selected patterned paper. It's too complicated for me to look for matching paper **lol**
