MFTWSC242 Hello, Friend

Hi all!  Before I left in July, I had posted on SCS in the “in search of” forum for the MFT Ring Me stamps and dies.  I remember when they were retiring this set and I debated it, but decided not to get it.  Well, did I ever regret that.  I LOVE that little telephone!  So I posted on SCS and hoped that maybe, just maybe, someone would have the set.  Not long before I left, I received a private message from a lady, saying she had the set and she’d be happy to send it to me.  I was ecstatic and asked how much she’d like for it.  Now, just to prove how awesome our crafting community is, she said she would send it to me as a RAK, just happy to send it to someone who’d love it.  I was floored!  I’ve met some truly wonderful people through this hobby and had wonderful support (both for a fundraiser for JDRF in honor of my daughter and when I was undergoing cancer treatments).   This is just another example of how fantastic this community is.  So this card will be heading out to this kind lady who made me so happy with this set!

I used this week’s MFTWSC sketch — my first in quite some time!  I’ve got a thing going currently for Blue Raspberry and love the pop against the black.

I popped my telephone up quite a bit, as well as the dial.  I added glossy accents to the numbers to give them a special touch.  I had intended to use some wire to create the cord, but I was having issues with it.  Since I was matting this on a black oval, I opted to leave off the cord all together.
