Hi all! We just got back from a trip to Niagara Falls, Canada over Spring Break. We had a great time — my kids absolutely LOVED the falls and the whole touristy area. Today was their first day back to school, we had to pick the dog up from the doggy hotel and I had a doctor’s appointment, but I had some new goodies from MFT arrive while we were gone and I had an itch to play with them right away!
I absolutely ADORE the new Sweet Treats stamps and dies that were released last week. I went for them immediately today to create my double-dipped challenge card.
LOVE these ice cream scoops! My card base is Nightshift Blue. I don’t have Whip Cream card stock, so I opted to use some old (from our wedding planning days, which is 11 years ago!) Stardream Metallic Opal paper instead. It is just text weight so it is a very light layer, however there is that really pretty sheen! I cut a Stitched Circle from Nightshift Blue and then used the Sweet Treats dies to cut my ice cream scoops and cone. Since I don’t have Summer Splash, I subbed in some Cool Caribbean from a long time ago as well! My sentiment is stamped on a flag from the Sentiment Strip die set. A trio of enamel dots finished it off!
