MFTWSC222 Make a Wish

Hi all!  I’m quite excited about today’s card.  For the Art Gallery, I made name tags for each of the “artists.” I used a variety of bright colors from Recollections for the tags and after trimming them for the size I needed, I had a bunch of thin strips left (less than 1/4 inch in width). They were so pretty and bright, I didn’t want to throw them away.  I figured I could turn them into something……

Along came this card, my entry for this week’s MFTWSC sketch challenge.

How fun is that?!  I took the thin strips and glued them down to a piece of card stock.  I sprayed the card stock with spray adhesive to get an effective glue base.  I did them very randomly, trying to get each of the colors I had in my pile.  I then trimmed the ends for a great background piece.

Then, for my sentiment, I pulled out my new best friend, MISTI.  I picked “make a wish” from Birthday Sentiments.  My ink colors are all Hero Art Neon colors.  I first inked up the make, stamped, cleaned it and then inked up the a, etc.  I then cut it out with a Stitched Circle STAX.  For my flags, I cut down two Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX — lots of white to balance all of the color.  Finally, I added in some enamel dots {homemade from Perler beads}.  LOVE!
