MFT Color Challenge #14 – Whimsical Birthday Wishes

Hi all!  Happy Thursday!  If you regularly visit my blog, you may recall I struggle with color challenges.  When Whimsical Wishes came out from MFT, I thought cute set, but I’ll never get the results I want with it. Then I saw so many awesome cards created with it, so I bought it.   I pulled it out for the current challenge and I LOVE the result!

I cut my white with the Blueprints 13 frame.  Then I inked up the long stems with Blueberry ink and stamped a pair on the right side.  The large circular squiggle was stamped in Limelight and the small star was stamped in Grapesicle (substitute for Wild Wisteria) randomly over the top of the stems.  {Random usually doesn’t work well for me, but I love this!}  For my sentiment, I cut two small banner flags from the Blueprints 13 set as well, each in Limelight and Grapesicle.  The sentiment is stamped in Blueberry on the Grapsicle.

Inside I repeated the stamped concept on the left side of another stitched piece of white card stock.  The sentiment is also from the Whimsical Wishes set.  Finally to finish off the front, I added in a bunch of rhinestones to add a bit of sparkle.  Color Challenge & randomness to my liking!
