MFTWSC209 You Light Up My Life

Hi all! Happy Monday!  It’s back to routine today.  My kids are back to school and my husband is back to work.  Swim lessons are back up and running this evening.  It will be odd to be alone for the first time since December 23!  Some of my Christmas decorations came down yesterday and I still need to take down trees.  The trees are still living, so I’m not in a hurry.

Any crafty goals for 2015?  I’m going to try to make every week of the MFTWSC challenge again.  Did you see they announced a creative challenge team?  I’m also attempting to get organized {who isn’t?}, use up some very old supplies and use neglected supplies.  I started organizing this weekend, going through my card stock and making it more streamlined.  I’ll share once I’m done!

In between taking down decorations and organizing, I made my card for this week’s MFTWSC sketch.

I’m likely to get into Valentine mode directly.  For my card, I opted to use my Romantic Script background, which I finally picked up last month.  I stamped Steel Grey on Pink Lemonade card stock.  I then trimmed off the top corner.  The sentiment is from the retired You Shine ala mode set, which I stamped with Versamark on a piece of Black Licorice, cut with a Horizontal Stitched Strip.  I then embossed it with pink glitter finish Zing embossing powder.  My Eiffel Tower is cut with some pretty vellum three times.  I actually cut 3 towers, which allowed for a less transparent Eiffel Tower.  They are glued together and then I sprayed it with adhesive and dumped on some glitter to mimic the evening sparkles of the real Eiffel Tower.  To finish it off, I added some sequins.  Have I mentioned I don’t do random well? LOL!
