Happy Sunday! I’m taking a quick break from HYCCT cards to share my MFTWSC201 card. I am absolutely in LOVE with the Pierced Snowflakes that were released last month by MFT. They are absolutely gorgeous and have already gotten quite a bit of use by me, as you’ll see in the coming days.
Straightaway, I will say that I am not usually a gold fan. However, this card may just change all of that. My card base is Vintage Cream from PTI and the gold layer is from Curious Metallic. I won a gift certificate to CutCardstock.com in the 2012 HYCCT and ordered a sampler pack of Curious Metallic papers. I used one of the golds included in the pack for my background. Even though there is a wonderful list of colors in the order they come included with the pack, I forgot where I pulled this piece from so I’m not sure of the actual color. What I am sure of is that it is gorgeous with a beautiful shimmer to it. I cut it out with Blueprints 13 – love the stitched edges! The double layers are vellum, which I have in my stash, on cream. The vellum is cut with Blueprints 14 and the cream corners were rounded. I then added in a strip of ribbon, a joy cut from cream and a snowflake cut from the gold. I simply added a pearl to the center to finish it off.
Inkspirational Challenges — Shine (There is gorgeous shine & shimmer on this gold card stock.)
