MFTWSC198 HYCCT1412 Hold It Together

Hi all!  Happy Sunday!  I took a few days off of blogging to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.  We didn’t do anything fancy, but did go into NYC for the day.  We had lunch in Little Italy and went to the Central Perk (from Friends) that was set up for the 20th anniversary of the show.  {Can you believe it has been 20 years since it premiered?}  After a not too horrible line, we were able to get a cup of coffee {sponsored by Eight O’Clock Coffee} for free, see some memorabilia from the show {Joey’s ceramic dog, Phoebe’s guitar, some costumes and many pictures} and sit on the famous orange couch from Central Perk and have our picture taken {also FREE!}.  They sold some merchandise, which of course, had the typical mark up, but it was great to have the ability to see it without paying a ton.

Yesterday I was able to get some crafty time in.  I’m still trying to complete all of the HYCCT challenges this year.  I made some good progress yesterday, but am still a good number of days behind.  We shall see how things go!  I opted to combine this week’s MFTWSC sketch with HYCCT1412.  The challenge was “Warm Fuzzies” — use warm colors or feature something fuzzy, like a blanket, sweater or animals.

I opted to go with the warm colors.  I created another grid background with my Pinstripe Background stamp using Sunshine from Mama Elephant and Bellini from A*muse.  They are both so light that you can barely tell they are different.  I added in a diagonal piece of white grosgrain to create the division and then put in a tape dispenser from Office Space.  The sentiment is perfect, I think, for someone going through cancer treatment.  There is so much to hold together!
