You Paint My Heart Happy

Happy Thursday everyone!  It’s a rainy day here by us and the kids are off of school.  I have to brag a bit about my kids — with breakfast this morning, both of them had their noses in books.  I didn’t ask them to read.  They are both reading series that they are incredibly interested in and we have the problem of telling them they have to put the book down and they can’t walk up the stairs while reading.  I was like this growing up and now I just fall asleep while reading.  Ha!

On this rainy day, I’m sharing another rainbow themed card.

Do you ever make a card/layout/etc that you just absolutely LOVE and it makes you smile?  That’s how I feel about this card.  I used the thinnest Vertical Stitched Strips die to cut each color.  {Unfortunately, it isn’t the full rainbow as I wasn’t able to fit purple on there.}  The base is Grout Gray, which is such a pretty color.  My palette is also cut from Grout Gray.  The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about Art and I stamped it twice — once in Steel Grey, leaving Paint uninked and then in Electric Red with just Paint inked.  LOVE how this turned out!  LOVE!
