Hi all! Happy Monday! My kids have their first full week of school this week. Both are off to a great start, loving their teachers. We shall see what today brings with homework being given. I suspect by the end of the week, they will be quite tired. They also start swimming lessons again today so Mondays are always a bit longer.
As the kids are getting back into their schedule, I’m trying to get back into mine as well! After dropping them off, I went for a walk and then came home to work on my weekly MFTWSC card. We are doing lots of home improvement projects so my focus is a bit scattered lately, but I love how this turned out.
When MFT released Office Space the other month, I had to get it. Not only do I have an iMac, but my husband is a “computer geek.” It’s very fortunate to have a tech guy in the family. He has fixed our neighbor’s computer multiple times and does an awesome job of trouble shooting all of our computer needs. Sometimes it’s hard to understand what he’s doing — I’ve seen his work screens when he has to log in at home and I have NO CLUE how he finds anything in the code.
Anyway for this week’s sketch, which was quite simple, I pulled out Office Space and the coordinating dies. I cut out the computer and stamped it with Versamark. I embossed it with black and silver, trying to mimic my iMac. After embossing, I stamped the sentiment on the screen. The background paper is from Doodlebug Take Note — as much as I adore my background stamps from MFT, I need to use up some of this 6×6 paper stash! I added in two strips of washi — choosing red to add a pop of color. Finally, I added a little clip to the side of the computer from the Office Supplies die set.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
