Blueprints for Birthday Wishes

Hi all!  Hope you are having a good week!  I managed to get some stamping time the past few days and finally managed to finish a card.  I’m still in the slow MOJO mode, but at least I’m getting something done! LOL!  We have 3 birthday parties over the next two days, so this will come in handy!

I can honestly say that I came late to the Blueprints die-namic party.  I thought they were neat, but didn’t think I needed them.  I have the Blueprints 16 that were released in June — they create awesome tuck cards.  Well, I can honestly say they are pretty genius and totally needed!  I first cut a piece of 4.25×11 white card stock with the rounded tab die and scored it at 5.5.  I stamped the top half with the Gingham Background stamp in Pink Lemonade.  I glued the white panel to a card base of Black Licorice.   For my focal panel, I created a shaker image.  I stamped Big Birthday Wishes a la mode and colored her with Copics.  She’s cut out with a Circle STAX die-namic.  I also cut out a piece of transparency with the same size circle die.  The black circle outline is cut with the larger of the circle dies included in the Blueprints 16.  After gluing the transparent circle to the black, I added a full rim of dimensionals.   Some pink and silver sequins fill the shaker — sticking just a tad to the dimensionals.

Inside I stamped Big Birthday Wishes and added in two balloons cut with the Party Balloons die-namics.  Each balloon was cut in white and stamped with the Gingham Background.  Very cute!  I think it will be perfect for the little girl turning 7 tomorrow!

  1. This is so sweet! I love the color combo and your coloring. I'm sure the birthday girl will love the shaker aspect. Great inside with the balloons too. Thanks for joining us at Crafting By Designs this week. -Jenny, CBD DT
