Happy Monday all!  Hope you’ve had a lovely Mother’s Day.  I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast with my son and his class on Friday.  He made me so many wonderful things — including a story, a “newspaper article” where I received an award for my card making skills, a flower made with his fingerprints and so on.  My daughter was so sweet — she bought me a pair of earrings and a bracelet.  We had wonderful weather yesterday and spent the day at a zoo and botanical gardens in Brooklyn.

Today it dawned on me that I hadn’t done my MFTWSC card for the week.  I’m really determined to make that “Club 52” this year and complete all sketches.  So I had to get down to business!

I had an idea in mind and it kind of worked out.  When I made my crafts for the craft sale, I used the Gerber daisy dies and had many flowers and centers leftover.  I didn’t want to get rid of them so I kept them on hand.  With this week’s sketch, I thought I would try a shaker card.  I stamped 3 of the words from Simply Fabulous Sayings and cut it out with Oval STAX dies.  I also cut out my transparency and frame.  Unfortunately, my inner die moved a bit when I cut it and I didn’t get an even cut on the outer oval.  Oh well!  I took the bits of flower centers I had left over and added them to my card.  Inside I stamped “That’s What You Are”.
