MFTWSC167 Damask Birthday

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  Hope you are pinch proof today with a bit o’green!  We had a beautiful day for our town parade yesterday, albeit a little cold.  My son and I walked with Relay For Life.  I’m on the planning committee for our local relay this June.  He amazed me by walking up to people and asking if they would like to make a donation.  We only made it about half way through the parade, but between a high schooler and my 6 year old, $116 was raised.  I thought that was pretty good considering most people were caught off guard with minimal money.

I don’t have anything festively green to share with you today, but I do have my MFTWSC card for this week.

I loved the simplicity of this sketch.  Last week when I was attempting to clean my room, after not being able to find something AGAIN, I found a bit of left over damask paper from my 40th birthday invitations.  This printed acrylic was so pretty.  I opted to keep it very simple and elegant.  I chose a black card base and layered the acrylic onto white.  A wide red satin ribbon was the perfect diagonal panel, as I was having difficulty with card stock.  I then cut a Fishtail Flags STAX and added the sentiment.  A die-cut damask from Damask Designs is popped up on dimensionals and highlighted with rhinestones.
