Celebrate Sunshine

Happy {COLD} Tuesday!  I’m not going to complain about our temperatures because I know my family back in Wisconsin is in the ridiculous depths of the Polar Vortex.  I grew up in Wisconsin and I don’t remember having so many days of below zero temperatures.  Extremely below — my hometown is looking at a temperature of -15 as I write this (9:05 AM EST).  The “Real Feel” is -28!  I know many schools have obliterated their snow days and are now probably looking at losing Spring Break or adding on days at the end of the year.  I’ve had friends tell me I’m crazy for wanting to move back to Wisconsin.  This is unusual, it is not the norm — I have no worries about withstanding a Wisconsin winter again.  LOL!  Days like this, you just take shelter in your craft room, if you can!

Before Christmas, Avery Elle released the Circle It set and I immediately added it to my wish list.  I just loved how this set offered so many possibilities with such a simple image.  It didn’t end up under the Christmas tree, so off I went to the Avery Elle shop.  (I have to say, a HUGE shout out to Avery Elle for charging realistic shipping rates!  Acrylic stamps don’t way a lot unless you are buying a LOT and I’ve paid Priority Mail shipping for sets that wouldn’t even tip the scale at a pound.)

Anyway, I decided to ink up my Circle It set this past weekend and this is what I came up with.

Sunshine!  I wanted colors that would compliment each other well and I like to work in 3s, so I didn’t have a lot of choices.  But, I love this!  It’s so simple and fun.  I layered the colors, stamped the sentiment and added in a few tiny rhinestones for bling.  Quick & simple!
