The LAST Two!!

Happy Wednesday & day before Thanksgiving!  If the weather guessers were correct, the East Coast is being bogged down with ridiculous amounts of rain.  My kiddos are done at 1 today.  We just have our own family Thanksgiving, so it is low key, but how we like it.  We’ll watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and football.  I’ll flip through all of the newspaper ads for all of the deals that I won’t be getting as there is nothing I’ll go out for on Friday.  LOL!
I have my final two HYCCT cards for you today.  I really love how both of them turned out.  First up is my card for the challenge of “I ‘HEART’ You.”

I decided to make a Valentiney-ish card.  There are a ton of heart papers in the Doodlebug Sweet Cakes paper pad, which made for a simple card.  I cut four patterns and paired them up with some Raspberry Fizz and Black Licorice.  A big yummy bow of pink satin and a sentiment from PTI Heart Prints finished it off.

And finally…….drumroll please…….my final card for the HYCCT 2013 challenges!

Lydia gave us the final challenge to do a black & white card with a pop of color, based on the TV show Breaking Bad.  Apparently, each character had a signature color in the show — I watched some of the show, but never realized this.  Our color choices were:

1) Green (Team Walt)

2) Purple (Team Marie)

3) Brown (Team Hank)

4) Pink (Team Holly)

5) Blue – (Team Skyler)

6) Yellow – (Team Jesse)

I wasn’t a fan of Marie, Hank or Skyler and never paid much attention to the baby, Holly.  So I opted to go with Jesse for my character color choice.  I absolutely LOVE how this turned out.  I did a simple white card base with some gorgeous damask designer paper.  The sentiment is from MFT Clearly Sentimental about Art.  I finished it off with a few rhinestones and that beautifully bright pop of yellow in a satin bow.

That finishes it off!  All of my HYCCT 2013 challenge cards and projects!  I had such a blast participating in these challenges — especially being a breast cancer survivor, I so appreciate the sentiment behind these challenges.  To have participated in them all, chatted with lots of fabulous participants on SCS and to have won a prize — well, it was a great month of paper crafting!
