Hi all! A quick Wednesday post for you. The HYCCT1306 challenge was to use the color of the cancer that has affected your life or family. The hostess, Misti, provided us with this site to check the colors of the awareness ribbons. Unfortunately, my family has far too much experience with cancer. I fought (and won!) against breast cancer. I have one uncle who battled prostate cancer and has won. Another uncle who also has prostate cancer that has metastasized. Finally, my aunt lost her battle with pancreatic cancer at the way too young age of 32.
I opted to do a very CAS note card for each of these cancers. The cards are 4×4 squares. Each has an awareness ribbon cut with the PTI Faith & Hope die and the simple message of HOPE. Everyone needs hope! My uncle with the metastasized prostate cancer didn’t expect to see his 60th birthday and he celebrated it in September.
