Hi all! Hope you’ve all had a nice weekend! We had a beautiful weekend, which is not what the weather guessers predicted! I was supposed to be spearheading a painting project at my kids’ school and I postponed on Friday based on the weather. GRRR! The silver lining was that I was able to attend a stamping event for Mama Elephant stamps yesterday. It was lots of fun — met some wonderful people, picked up a beautiful new stamp set and won a prize!
I have another of my HYCCT cards — the challenge was to make a flat, one or two layer card.
In order for me to realistically do all of these challenges, I have to step out of my usual multi-layer, colored image cards. For this one, I pulled out my MFT Grand Greetings set. I had a bunch of sequins leftover from my daughter’s art party and was inspired by the turquoise. They matched really well with Bermuda Bay. I stamped the sentiment and added a bunch of random sequins — side note: I’m not great with random. It isn’t easy for me to place things randomly. This is pretty good for me — I usually end up with clumps or more than I wanted. LOL! The sequins are great because they give a big pop without the lumpiness of other embellies.
