Kaboodle Doodles #66 — Balloon Birthday

Happy Monday all!  Hope you all had a lovely Mother’s Day!  I most certainly did with wonderful gifts from my kids and husband.  We had a nice day at home with nice weather.  Puppy proofing the yard is coming along.  House breaking is also coming along nicely.  Now to make sure that all toys and shoes get put away so they aren’t targets for her little teeth is the next goal.  Freckles has definitely taken her place in our family.

Today starts a new Kaboodle Doodles challenge and this week we are challenging you to lots of layers.  Our sponsor this week is StampFairy and 3 images from their store are up for grabs.

I am so happy with how this turned out — I did my layers in a different way.  I printed the sun and balloons, doing 3 sets of balloons. Then I cut each of them out and paper pieced each piece.  Each layer of the sun is popped up on a dimensional.  The polka dotted balloons are popped up on dimensionals as well.  I added in some twine for the string.  The sky is embossed with Swiss Dots and the grass is hand cut, using 4 pieces of Certainly Celery to get the layers I wanted.

We’d love to have you play along with us this week!  Just upload your NEW project to the Kaboodle Doodles blog with a direct link to your blog post, not just your blog.
