Kaboodle Doodles #64 — Here Comes the Bride

Good Morning! How many of you are excited about the royal wedding on Friday? I am — I was 9 when Diana & Charles wed and the royal wedding wasn’t on my radar then.  As a 20something, I thought Diana was absolutely glamorous and gorgeous.  I remember watching Brian Williams announce her death and watching her funeral.  So I am very excited about William & Kate’s wedding on Friday.  I’m trying to maximize the opportunity with Ainsley and talking to her about real princesses.

Anyway, today starts a new Kaboodle Doodles challenge and in honor of the wedding, we are giving you a challenge of Here Comes the Bride.  Our sponsor this week is The Crafty Pad and a prize of 2 images from their store are up for grabs.

I decided to go very simple on my card as I wanted to focus on the image, a very pretty pair of roses. The roses are colored with Smooch Illuminate, keeping with the simplicity of the card.  I used only black and white, keeping it very elegant.  The roses are cut out with the largest Labels 18 die — love this shape — and I outlined it with a black pen to make a nice border.  A nice big bow and some Prima roses finished it off.

We’d love to have you play along with us this week.  Just upload your NEW project to the KD blog with a direct link to your blog post, not just your blog.

Best Wishes
