Hi all! Happy Sunday! A quick note on the Blog Candy for a Cause — I could really use some help in spreading the word about this fundraiser. I am not allowed to post about it on SCS. In order to do so, I would need to purchase banner or ad space for it. Any word of mouth (or blog) would be greatly appreciated. In addition, I still have two sponsors with packages outstanding that I need to follow up on. However, I have received the DeNami Designs contribution and some additional great products from my friend Michele @ Enchanted Stamper. I have updated the packages, including an 8th package!!!, on the blog candy page. Thank you!!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking part in a shoebox swap in New York. We had lots of great projects, great food, great fun and great friends. Our shoebox swap was to be a card for a holiday between Halloween and Valentine’s Day. I went with Christmas, but completely non-traditional colors.
I used an awesome stamp from TaDa Creative Studios called Dazzling Danglers (I think it is retired or discontinued.) Pairing Basic Black and Bermuda Bay gave a great color punch for these pretty ornaments. I embossed the Bermuda Bay with Swiss Dots. The ornaments are cut out with the Labels 11 Nesties. A black satin bow and some Kaisercraft Island Lagoon rhinestones for the right amount of bling. (A big thank you to Mandy @ Limelight for helping me find the right embellie and getting them to me in time since I procrastinated with this project.) I really love how this turned out and the great non-traditional colors.
