Make a Wish Snail

Good Morning! Happy World Card Making Day! I was happy to sneak a card in last night. But, before I get to the card, I want to show my reason for the Blog Candy for a Cause.

This is Ainsley on her first day of Kindergarten. The little purple pouch holds her pump. There is approximately 23 inches of tubing that runs from her pump to a site in her back. The site has a 6mm steel needle that needs to be replaced every 2-3 days. Throughout the duration of the blog candy, I hope to give you some facts on Type 1 diabetes. I hope to be back later today with at least some of the prize packages.

ETA: I was typing this up with slits for eyes last night and completely forgot to mention that there will now be weekly challenges at Catch the Bug!  You will now have more opportunities to win some fabulous Bugaboo Stamps.  So today’s challenge is in honor of World Card Making Day and the theme is ANYTHING GOES!

For my card today, I pulled out one of my favorite Bugaboo Brats from the Bugs Collection.  Before coloring up my snail, I decided to pick out my papers, a rare thing for me. I pulled out some Basic Grey Green at Heart and paired it up with a really fun & awesome color combo of Rich Razzleberry and Simply Chartreuse. I kept the coloring simple and used 3 different patterned papers — a HUGE thing for me! The layout is from Friday Sketchers. Some really fun pleated purple May Arts ribbon, Prima flowers and some pearls finished it off.
