Good Morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was very productive, working in our basement and getting it closer to being finished. I’ve been dreaming of collapsing into our couch and watching the new TV and we are so very close!
Anyway, today is Anything But a Card at Catch the Bug. I am also in the midst of planning our daughter’s 5th birthday party. She recently went on a kick with Alice in Wonderland, so we are doing an Alice themed party. I made the invitations with images from the Story Book collection at Bugaboo and will share those with you later this week. Today though, I have the table decor I’ll be using for the party.
I’m using a Caribbean blue and red as the colors of the party. I bought blue plates and napkins, along with red forks. I lucked out and found these cute striped ball cups with whacky straws. For the napkin “rings”, I printed off the Mad Hatter from the Story Book collection and colored him up. Then, I again printed him with “Eat Me” on a 3 3/4 square piece of white. That is matted on Pure Poppy and then on the plate. Those adorable flower cupcake liners will likely hold a nice scoop of ice cream instead of a cupcake. My daughter isn’t very big on cake, so I think this will work. An alternate is a little “cake” made from chocolate chip cookies. Lots of little things to figure out yet.
