PWC113 Make a Splash

Happy Sunday! Hope you are having a relaxing day. Mine has been productive, which is always a plus. I hadn’t used any of my Paper Pretties stamps in quite some time. Recently Paper Pretties was sold and they have resurrected the weekly challenge. This week was a sketch by Frances, who always creates fantastic sketches, so I decided to dust off my stamps and play along.

This little Sophia could easily be my daughter. Every sunny day of the summer. She loves to swim and has recently started swimming in the deep end of the pool without her vest. I joke she’s part fish. LOL!

I decided to go with a new-to-me combo of Summer Sunrise and Regal Rose, along with a fun flower print from DCWV Adhesive mat stack. This is a big square card, measuring 5.5″. The Summer Sunrise is embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots. Even though this is a 5×7 folder, I still had to do some finagling to cover the entire piece. I cut it roughly in half and covered that seam with a piece of rose grosgrain.

Sophia is colored with Copics and her splash is covered with Glossy Accents. I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with the Word Window punch. The Word Window/Modern Tag punch combo has to be my favorite way to add in a sentiment.
