Mahalo

Good morning! Just a little programming note — things may be a bit quiet around here. I’m spending some time with family and won’t have as much crafting time. You will see some design team work, as usual, but maybe only a few random projects in between.

Speaking of design teams, I’m excited to announce that I have been asked to join the Kaboodle Doodles Design Team. If you aren’t familiar with Kaboodle Doodles, it is a challenge blog, offering up a great challenge every two weeks.

Today starts a new challenge, with a theme of It’s a Luau!, sponsored by Deedee’s Digis. Deedee generously provided us with some of her images recently released.

I’m thrilled with how this turned out. The flower is from the Sweetest Flower set. I colored it in with Copics, taking color inspiration from some Sultry Basic Grey paper. This is some of my favorite Basic Grey paper. I paired it up with Spring Moss & Raspberry Fizz from PaperTrey Ink. The Mahalo sentiment is from the Go Hawaiian sentiment set.

Here is a close-up of the flowers. I added Dazzling Diamonds to the centers of each flower.

Inside I used the sentiment from the Sweetest Flower set, which is cut out using a Fancy Tag die. I sponged over the sentiment with some Raspberry Fizz ink before removing the die.

  1. This is SO PRETTY, Cammy! Great layout, and I love how you sparkled up the flowers. It's so neat that you used a second greeting on the inside of the card — it makes it extra special for the recipient! Hugs, Deedee
