Underwater Friends

Happy Hump Day! We are getting used to a summer schedule, which will be changed next week for camp. Today we were finally able to get into our neighbor’s pool. My son wants nothing to do with it and I have to drag my daughter out. LOL! I swam a lot while pregnant with her, so I say that is why she is part fish.

Appropriately enough I have a card featuring a pair of swimmers. The latest release from Tiffany Doodles is the adorable Turtle Friend.

Aren’t they a cute pair? I colored them up with Copics, using a fun selection of blue greens. They are cut out using the big scallop oval Nesties. I matched that up with some K&Company patterned paper (Sparkly Sweet and a Christmas pack) and Bermuda Bay and Hawaiian Shores. The sketch is from the OCC Sketch Blog. Because I sized my turtle and fish a bit bigger, I chose not to use the sentiment provided with the set. I stamped the sentiment from PaperTrey Ink’s Mega Mixed Messages in Memento Tuxedo in the corner. Final touches were the little bow in Hawaiian Shores satin and Eucalyptus Stickles on the fish & turtle.
