Sage & Brocade Birthday Wishes

I’m plugging along on these cards for the fundraiser. The boy ones are coming a bit easier. The funny thing is I recently organized my paper stash and realized I had a bunch of colors that I’d never used & only had 2-3 sheets of each color. These boy cards are giving me a great reason to use them up.

Today’s card, for example, uses Sage Shadow and Brocade Blue. I can say with 100% certainty, I’ve never used that color combo! When searching for dp to go with this combo, I found a great resource for SU dps. I don’t know about you, but I have a stash that is a number of years old. This site lists the dps and the coordinating cardstock colors. It is even savable in PDF form.

Okay, enough about color! I used Birthday Boy from the Wee One Birthday Collection from Bugaboo. He’s colored with Copics and cut out with oval Nesties. I used the current The Pink Elephant sketch. I love how this turned out! There are two patterns from the Pool Party papers and I used a piece of striped May Arts ribbon to pull them together. The buttons are Enchanted Evening and New Leaf from PTI. The sentiment is again from the Simple Little Things PTI set. Another great boy card!
