It’s Tuesday, which means Jodie has some fantastic new releases in the store. Amongst those releases is this cute little guy, doing his best for planet earth. I wanted to do something that would be earth-friendly.
I pulled out my little travel mug that had an inside that could be personalized and hadn’t been yet. I went with the typical cartoonish colors for earth – green & blue — and colored him up with Copics. I matted him on Green Galore and then sat, wondering what to do next. We had been to Starbucks over the weekend and I had the sleeve from my cup, so I turned that around and used that as my designer paper. Then I used some bright green stickers I had left over from my scrapbooking days. These were just waiting to be used by my kids and worked perfectly for this. I spelled out the three Rs — reduce, reuse, recycle. This also coincided nicely with the DCRU challenge this week to use an earth element on your project.
