Make a Wish

We have been having crazy weather here — 80°+ in April is insane! I won’t complain though — no humidity and nice breezes. It is supposed to be more in the normal range this weekend.

I’ve wanted to participate in a There She Goes challenge for a while, but never seemed to get around to it. This week is a great color challenge, so I decided to give it a try.

I inked up Make a Wish for the first time — this is an amazing set. 65 stamps! 65! And they aren’t all puny either! I used 6 of the stamps on this card and created a fun birthday scene. The layout is this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (#63). To achieve my color combo, I used PTI Lemon Tart and Aqua Mist, paired with Basic Grey Two Scoops. I colored the images with Copics and paper pieced 6 of the balloons. I played up the circles on the small gift with the Two Scoops and using the Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug folder on the Aqua Mist. The balloons that were paper pieced with Aqua Mist and Lemon Tart are also embossed, although it is hard to tell. There are Stickles on the bows and cake frosting for a bit of sparkle. I stamped the banner on Aqua Mist, cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals.
