Red Hat Day

It’s new release day at Bugaboo Stamps and one of the great new images is red hat Stella. Now, I have to admit, I was a bit tentative putting this together in the traditional red hat colors.

I think Stella is a hoot — she has to make you smile & giggle. I colored her up with Copics – sticking with a very simple palette of red & purple. She is cut out with a long rectangle Nestie and matted on a piece of Lavender Lace, cut with the largest long rectangle. I paired this up with Pure Poppy and a piece of patterned paper from the K&Co Secret Santa paper pack (who knew Christmas paper could be so useful for these odd color combos?!). The sentiment — which you get in a separate jpg/png file when you buy Stella — is cut out with another long rectangle and sponged with Lulu Lavender Memento ink. To give Stella a bit of bling, I added some Basic Grey half pearls for her earrings and the center of her bow. I also added some red grosgrain and some of my favorite Prima roses to the bow and corner.

  1. Cammy, like everyone else, I can't get enough of those purple flowers, especially the one you layered with the red ribbon! I love the non-traditional size of the card too! MWAH!
